Was anyone else as disappointed by the over-promised, under-delivered interview with Obama? I felt Bill repeatedly bloviated in declaratives of his own opinions, interrupted Obama to hear himself talk, and sounded like he was trying to impress Obama with how smart he was. I got NOTHING out of the 3 days so I skipped the 4th.

You’re quite right. And with all that, it was still Obama’s toughest interview to date. I just wish BOR would stop kissing Obam’s ass already — you got the interview for crying out loud, now just ask the questions, follow up and challenge the spin

I didn’t watch it, but from the clips shown on FOX all week, it was boring and predictable. It was easy to tell that Oby had the questions in advance. The segments I saw seem very rehearsed...even down to the body language.

Very contrived.

My grade for O’Reilly: D

These ‘interviews’ were a joke. BOR made a complete ass of himself last night.

I think you have it right. The 4th session was no different from the other 3.

BOR was a joke. He apologized at one point in the interview.

And because he “landed” the Obama interview, he has gone soft on him. Yesterday, he didn’t think the “lipstick” comment was done purposefully. Pure idiot.

I caught Day one of the interview, and saw the panic in Obama's eyes over Governor Palin.

Obama's fear bordered on paranoia and lunacy.

Re-posted from other threads because I think BOR's marketing has convinced many listeners that he is a "conservative.".

Beware. BOR is a really tricky POC when it comes to his Democrat affiliation.

This BOR SOB would not vote for JC
if He were to run on the GOP ticket.

BOR issued his typical "fairness" hosshiite as an apologia of his BOH interview, damning BOH with faint praise, as a trying desperately to maintain his supposed "blue-collar" conservative roots. BOR is a fraud who has figured out a remarkable marketing strategy to attract a listenership, most of whom somehow, despite all evidence to the contrary, think the BOR is a "Conservative."

BOR is no conservative. The best that can be said of him is that he is a hardened "Moynihan" type democrat, just like wet-leg CM. He's a couple of IQ points lighter than Chrissie, with more "street smarts" and he knows how to hide the Democrat Butt-Kiss better.

Spare me BOR. He's a Democrat mouthpiece who makes a fortune while serving the Democrats' desperate efforts to keep white males over 40 and Catholics in the increasingly loony-left party. Despite his cries of "independence," BOR will admit, when cuffed about the head and shoulders, that he has NEVER voted for a Republican for ANY office, nor would he. This was a fraud-on-fraud interview.

I agree. BOR let him off easily.... he had him dead-to-rights on taxes and Anwar especially. He didn’t press him enough about his ridiculous answer about his associations, but he did make his point about it being a pattern of associations, not about what someone did when he was 8!
On anwar he looked like a total fool (Obama that is) talking about leaving this pristine area to our children like it’s in the heart of Manhattan where someone other than a Caribou would see it anyway. All he had to ask him was if he’d been there — million dollars says the answer would have been NO!

I have O’Reilly on the radio right now. The man is drunk on the Obama kool-aid. He just told a caller that Obama is really a middle of the road Democrat, just like Bill Clinton.

Of course, he just told Mary Ann Marsh that what Obama says that he is going to do economically is socialism. But then O’Reilly says that he knows that Obama won’t really do what he says he is going to do.

O’Reilly is so caught up in his own ego that he is spinning in place in his own no spin zone. O’Reilly is trying to compete with Dan Rather for the commentator with the greatest ability to make himself a part of the story.

It was extremely disappointing. I saw all but the second one on Monday. Supposed to have the full set on Sunday night at 8:00 for anyone still interested. A lot of buildup for very little return. He’s not going to show his hand before the election.

For the life of me I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY O’REILLY IS SUCCESSFUL

We should stand up and spread the word about O’loofah...he’s a fraud!

Today, O'Reilly played the whole Letterman rif about the lipstick and laughed that Obama has become a stand up comedian. I guess O'Reilly has forgiven Letterman for his treatment of him.

As if the O’Reilly interview with Obama airing on the day of the McCain speech wasn’t bad enough, especially after learning that O’Reilly had agreed to the interview in JUNE, and to ask no embarassing questions, wasn’t bad enough. O’Reilly went on to praise Obama as a stand up comedian for his Letterman riff on Palin and the lipstick. O’Reilly played the whole thing and laughed at loud. My husband says that O’Reilly stated that Obama would be our next president. I didn’t hear that, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Now, I know why O’Reilly has come out for Obama. He wanted the Palin interview and I don’t think that he is getting it because of what he did with the Obama interview. Hannity announced at the end of his show that he had some wonderful news about an interview that was coming up, that he couldn’t tell us about, yet.

O’Reilly was putting down the Charles Gibson interview with Sarah Palin, saying that he would be much tougher on her than Gibson would be. No wonder, the McCain campaign refused to do an interview with O’Reilly.

I’m not going to watch his Obama chronicles, either. I’m sure that they are just going to be puff pieces on Obama, all arranged with the campaign’s approval.

Great points, Eva. Interesting that you think Hannity landed Palin??

Here’s another O’Reilly oddity - his now almost daily advertising for the obscure DailyKos (pretend outrage?) lends me to believe he may actually be profiting from his promotion of the liberals. He is constantly selling something.

Yeah, I think that’s what the McCain has decided to do. Let Hannity do the Palin interview. They need to put her out there, but the media Obama pimps are not going to do the job.

Hannity should ask her all the questions that the public might want to know about her postitions, in a non-confrontational way. Let her answer and accept her answers the same way that O’Reilly accepted everything that Obama said.

She will shine. I think that O’Reilly has been playing up the criticisms that he was too hard on Obama, to give him cover on the pimp job that he did. That way they can say that Obama stood up to O’Reilly. Yeah, sure.
