You’re quite right. And with all that, it was still Obama’s toughest interview to date. I just wish BOR would stop kissing Obam’s ass already — you got the interview for crying out loud, now just ask the questions, follow up and challenge the spin
I didn’t watch it, but from the clips shown on FOX all week, it was boring and predictable. It was easy to tell that Oby had the questions in advance. The segments I saw seem very rehearsed...even down to the body language.
Very contrived.
My grade for O’Reilly: D
These ‘interviews’ were a joke. BOR made a complete ass of himself last night.
I think you have it right. The 4th session was no different from the other 3.
Obama's fear bordered on paranoia and lunacy.
I agree. BOR let him off easily.... he had him dead-to-rights on taxes and Anwar especially. He didn’t press him enough about his ridiculous answer about his associations, but he did make his point about it being a pattern of associations, not about what someone did when he was 8!
On anwar he looked like a total fool (Obama that is) talking about leaving this pristine area to our children like it’s in the heart of Manhattan where someone other than a Caribou would see it anyway. All he had to ask him was if he’d been there — million dollars says the answer would have been NO!
I have O’Reilly on the radio right now. The man is drunk on the Obama kool-aid. He just told a caller that Obama is really a middle of the road Democrat, just like Bill Clinton.
Of course, he just told Mary Ann Marsh that what Obama says that he is going to do economically is socialism. But then O’Reilly says that he knows that Obama won’t really do what he says he is going to do.
O’Reilly is so caught up in his own ego that he is spinning in place in his own no spin zone. O’Reilly is trying to compete with Dan Rather for the commentator with the greatest ability to make himself a part of the story.
It was extremely disappointing. I saw all but the second one on Monday. Supposed to have the full set on Sunday night at 8:00 for anyone still interested. A lot of buildup for very little return. He’s not going to show his hand before the election.
As if the O’Reilly interview with Obama airing on the day of the McCain speech wasn’t bad enough, especially after learning that O’Reilly had agreed to the interview in JUNE, and to ask no embarassing questions, wasn’t bad enough. O’Reilly went on to praise Obama as a stand up comedian for his Letterman riff on Palin and the lipstick. O’Reilly played the whole thing and laughed at loud. My husband says that O’Reilly stated that Obama would be our next president. I didn’t hear that, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Now, I know why O’Reilly has come out for Obama. He wanted the Palin interview and I don’t think that he is getting it because of what he did with the Obama interview. Hannity announced at the end of his show that he had some wonderful news about an interview that was coming up, that he couldn’t tell us about, yet.
O’Reilly was putting down the Charles Gibson interview with Sarah Palin, saying that he would be much tougher on her than Gibson would be. No wonder, the McCain campaign refused to do an interview with O’Reilly.
I’m not going to watch his Obama chronicles, either. I’m sure that they are just going to be puff pieces on Obama, all arranged with the campaign’s approval.
