Hallucinations from the bad meat. ;-)
Im sure that every lawyer worth his salt has investigated these questions, and if there were any true doubts about this question, lawsuits would be flying.
***It sounds like you haven’t been following the Obama Birth Certificate Forgery thing. The document that Obama’s campaign put up on his own website is a forgery. It led to questions of whether he really was born in Hawaii and if he’s eligible to be president.
It’s probably just that he was ashamed of being an illegitimate bastard, which means this whole thing would just go away, no big deal.
BINGO! We have a winner, folks!!!
Looks like the hospital released info that used to be in every paper. There would be a heading at the top - ABC General Hospital - and then a list of all births for that week, parents names, boy or girl and date. For years, hospitals did it routinely, before HIPAA. Then they used to ask if they wanted it published. The hospital I worked at stopped doing it when a local woman found a new mom, found her home and killed both parents, while kidnapping the newborn baby, back in 1986.
The “issue” is that he has a forgery on his website. Whether he was born in HI or not is a separate issue
Obama was born. OK. I was beginning to wonder if he was created in some secret laboratory or something.
You would think that us winning the surge would be front page news, you would think McCain making a major campaign stop would be front page news, you would think that many of the President’s major addresses would be front page news. What else do you think?
The birth of illegitimate chldren was never announced in 1961
With some stipulations
“He needs to be beaten on substance (he doesnt have any) rather than a technicality.”
IF it could be proven he’s ineligible, that’s much more than a “technicality.”
Yes. Hawaii has been incorporated territory of the US since 1898. A Hawaiian born between 1898 and 1959 is a U.S. citizen.
I believe so. I worked with a woman whose daughter was born in Panama, on base and she had dual citizenship. A more interesting case was my brother in law, in the AF, who was stationed in Japan for 2 years. That’s where he was born, on base. He actually had to go through the red tape to ensure that he was considered an American, because if Japan had started a draft while he was there he technically could have had to sign up. I’m sure they wouldn’t have, but the legal possibility existed.
No, but is the scanned copy the one in question? Because that says Mr and Mrs. They were married before he was born, correct?
I understood that he was illegitimate. His father and mother were unmarried. Was his father even around at his birth?
If there was even a chance that either candidate was not eligible to be POTUS, it would make the headlines somewhere, cyberspace, talk radio, MSM somewhere. Nothing but rumors so far.
If this were in McCains favor, you can bet your bottom dollar his entourage or conservative radio would be all over it. If it were in Obamas favor, the MSM would be all over it.
What else do you think?
Why is the 'dual citizenship' thing a can of worms if the guy never claimed the second citizenship?
From what I understand, under Irish law I "could" claim citizenship in Ireland because by grandfather was born there. But I have no desire to ever become a citizen there.
Did Obama ever claim Kenyan citizenship?
This is not proof. So, if Obama was born in Hawaii, why the fake COLB?
Perhaps, he was born in Kenya (there is evidence to suggest that) and his mother put the notice in the Honolulu paper so all her friends would know.
How can he have US, Kenyan, and Indonesian citizenship at the same time. I have heard of dual citizenship, but never heard of triple. I guess if his step-father adopted him, it might be possible, but as far as I know there is no evidence he was adopted.
This is all very strange, but I do not believe we should give up on trying to get all the facts on this. If Obama isn’t elibible, then Hillary becomes the Dem candidate. There could be both advantages and disadvantages to that, but it would be the right thing to do.
I care. The Constitution cares and I care about the Constitution.
Some oath about swearing to support and defend it against *all* enemies.
But I guess not many care about the old rag either.
I’m not talking about citizenship. One can be a naturalized citizen like a friend of mine originally from Japan, or be a child foreign born, say in France, to U.S. citizens which would make that child a citizen of the U.S.
But to be eligible to become President of the United States one MUST have been born within the boundaries of the U.S. (this is a requirement spelled out in the U.S. Constitution), or one of its territories (parents in the territories must both be U.S. citizens). A child born inside the U.S. is automatically a U.S. citizen, and therefore could become president even if his/her parents are not U.S. citizens at the time of his/her birth.
The problem for Senator Obama is if he were born outside the U.S. on foreign soil. It would make him ineligible to be President even if he’s a citizen because of his mother. We’re talking about two different things.
I hope this has clarified issues for you. If not you could contact CongressmanBillyBob. He’ll explain it better as he is a Constitutional scholar and lawyer.
