Everyone has a different theory as to the direction in which Senator McCain should go with his VP pick for the ticket. Some say choosing a Democrat like Joe Lieberman would appeal to moderates and independents--I like that idea only because it would drive the hyper-caffeinated left-wing blogosphere into apoplectic conniptions. But there are practical matters to consider. If, heaven forbid, a Vice President Lieberman assumed the presidency, one would assume he would affiliate himself with the Democrats. Unacceptable.
So we're left with the slate of rumored Republican picks, among them Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Minneapolis Governor Tim Pawlenty, and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. They all have plusses and minuses, but one stands out: Bobby Jindal. Here's why:

“Too often, we make the perfect the enemy of the good.”
McCain is neither. What he MIGHT be is (slightly) less disastrous than the OTHER socialist.
“While I dont disagree with what you say, the 9/11 hijackers were not illegal Mexican immigrants who crossed the border into the country.”
You want to hazard a guess as to who has killed more Americans since 9/11, Illegal Aliens or Muslims?
Well, given the number of US deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq, what would you say?
Well, I AM a conservative & when I espouse conservative ideals (smaller government & people being responsible for their actions), most middle class working people completely agree with me. It is those people that made this country great. Liberals are always about, “what can my country do for me?”
Conservative ideals aren’t the type of thing that just dies and goes away - they embody the very core of what humankind longs for in his heart and soul. Right now, there just aren’t any leaders that can articulate what it is all about. There will be another Ronald Reagan again someday, because this country is headed in a very bad direction & people will be ready to hear the message at that time.
We just need to regroup & build our strength, be patient & bide our time. The liberals will bring us to that point again - John McCain included. He still doesn’t get my vote.
Illegals have done far more damage than the Arab terrorists have.
Could you define this “damage”?
Rapes, murders, manslaughter, property damage, child molestation, I.D. theft, fraud....
And a far greater percentage of the crimes comitted by the illegals are comitted against American civilians, than anything that the terrorists have done.
I still believe folks with your concerns have hijacked 9/11 for your immigration debate.
“I still believe folks with your concerns have hijacked 9/11 for your immigration debate.”
I think there is some truth to what you say, and I still believe that illegals have proven far more dangerous to us.
