Another I forgot. The context is that this was said by Neville Chamberlain at the conclusion of one of his back bencher's (W.S. Churchill) speeches attacking Hitler for abusing German Jews. The intent was to deride Churchill, as the Appeasers believed that such comments in Parliament only served to antagonize Hitler. They thought this because the German foreign minister continually sent notes of protest, which greatly troubled them.
Anyway, Churchill had just stepped down and Chamberlain popped up and dismissively retorted, Well, to listen to Mr. Churchill, you'd think that Hitler wanted to kill every Jew in Europe." That brought on a general din of laughter throughout the House of Commons.
