Expelled, Important and A Highly Enjoyable Movie To Boot
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 4/18/08 | Purple Mountains

I just returned home from seeing the premiere of Ben Stein's new movie, "Expelled:No Intelligence Allowed". I was amazed that such an important movie that addresses serious questions would be so enjoyable and have such great entertainment value. The movie exposes Darwinism and the crushing of scientific inquiry going on in this country. Darwinism is the foundation science of modern liberalism, and just as liberalism is a failed philosophy and imposes political correctness to stifle debate, so is some of Darwinian theory wrong, and scientific study and debate about it is simiarly stifled. I urge everyone to see this movie and spread its messsage.

Do you believe mankind is made up of rock soup? Churning and bubbling and cooking for billions of years before man appeared, that we evolved from such a process?

so far YOU have:

nothing.

So you offer zero and then turn around asking others to produce “proof”?

Typical.

So you are saying that the God of the Bible is the Intelligent Designer? I can’t argue with that, You can’t argue faith or taste. Be happy with what you believe, sincerely.

Yep, really. Stephen Jay Gould in “opus 200” 1991 Natural History August 12-18 defends is theory of PE. He clearly writes about what he and Nile were attempting to accomplish in developing the theory. Opus 200 is now a classic and the debate continues. Evolutionary biologist continue to have problems with PE because of time constraints. The debate with biologist continues with Gould and Eldredge in Nature Vol 366:233-227 November 1993.

If natural selection is wrong, what is your evidence for ID?

please, please, please

bingo!

The separation of church and state lies, the global warming lies and this incessant anger at God...

all diseased liberalism.

This isn’t to say there are good conservative people that don’t believe in God, it’s just that the vast majority of conservatives believe in God and aren’thell bent to have God evicted from public, government, science, our children’s lives or directions to the bathroom in school.

As interesting as that is, it seems to be evidence of evolution. I asked for evidence of the origin of life. I am looking for scientific evidence, not speculation, about what happened before life existed that led to life coming into existence. Simply put, can you offer proof of what circumstances led to the formation of the first prokaryote or eukaryote?

Can you define scientific evidence or even science?

Could you please give some scientific evidence for ID? I can’t find any on the web or anywhere.

algore’s war on humanity is awful. It’s all we see lately.

I just tell people around me that the OBVIOUS soution is for people to commit mass suicide because they emit CO2.

Who knows? Maybe some liberals will take it to heart!

Forgive me Goreacle for I have emitted!

All I want is science. You claim ID is science. Please, please offer some scientific evidence FOR ID.

So I suppose you'll be able to provide documentation of experiments that have proven the development of non-living materials into sentient beings.

Before you get me wrong, I'm not an creationism proponent. I'm just somebody that sees room for ideas at the table. I think evolution is a fact. Creatures evolve. But Darwin doesn't bother with the *why*. Only the *how*.

Something that darwinists don't explain effectively is why the archeological record only seems to contain successful mutations. Of course, there's more of the successful mutations over the years. But shouldn't there also be billions of unsuccessful mutations in nearly every generation of every species?

My intro .02.

Darwin’s book was “On The Origin of Species”. I just gave you a concrete example of non-designed speciation proving Darwin correct.

It’s your turn. Give me anything empirical supportin ID. Anything.

Good science “proves” doritos are instrumental in building plaques in your cerebral arteries and this may help explain why your thinking is so off! ;)

So you don’t have any scientific reason for considering ID either. Do you know anyone who can give me a reason for considering ID as an alternative to evolution?

Even Darwin explicitly stated that it was simply a theory; not a proof.

Ouch!

Beware that the informal meaning of the word "theory" is the opposite of its scientific meaning. While the informal meaning suggests that an idea is merely guesswork, the scientific meaning indicates that an idea has indeed held up to the rigor of scientific-method experimentation.

So your note about what Darwin said about evolution can reasonably be construed to mean that evolution, particularly macroevolution, is scientifically tested fact, which it is not.

Consider the following links which show the contradictory definitions of theory.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/theory
Given these contradicting definitions of theory, is it any wonder that creationism versus evolution discussions seemingly go in endless circles?

If natural selection is wrong,

I believe God created us.

I went through an agnostic stage when I was a teenager, more than forty years ago. I had questions that needed to be answered. I found my answers and my belief in God was renewed.
