Obama said he didn’t hear this stuff - in the almost 20 years he’s been involved with the “church”. If this stuff was common, Obama’s toast.

I believe the point is that Hitler and Rev Wright are both Demagogues who use hate and various forms of race baiting for power.
I think his wife heard it considering the things she's said.
This is the new objective : find more evidence of similar sermons so this isn't floated as an aberration.
It is not credible to think that he could go there for 20 years, donate so much money there, be married by the guy, have him baptize his children, make him a religious counseler on his campaign, claim that he his his mentore fr Heaven's sake...and yet know so little about the guy.
These statements by Wright, this hateful rhetoric are this guy's MO. I believe Obama has shot his foot clean off over this.
If he did know (and he surely did) then he is a liar and complicit with the hate. If he did not know, then his judgement and powers of perception are so pathetically inadequate as to compromise and disqualify him in any case.

Are we to believe that his wife didn’t hear this either??? Wasn’t it offensive to her??? Wouldn’t a wife have mentioned a sermon that she felt was disturbing to her husband??? Are we to believe that she continuedd to bring her children to a church that she felt preached a disturbing message???
If more evidence is brought forward of Wright’s preaching in a similar vain on other occasions, Obama is absolutely outta here.

THIS stuff? This is a Notorious BIG/Tupac rap song set to an old video of Hitler. I don’t recall Obama saying that he didn’t hear this stuff.
This post really has nothing to do with Jeremiah Wright, as far as I can see. Other than a very very loose association with Hitler and Wright both being demagogues, and maybe a very very loose association with Notorious BIG/Tupac and Wright both being anti-AmeriKKKan victicrats.

Pretty off-the-wall way of making that point, posting a Notorious BIG/Tupac rap song that has nothing to do with Obama or Wright and itself was posted to YouTube FIVE MONTHS ago, before any of this Wright stuff hit the fan.

Nobody told you to click on this thread, and I certainly don’t understand why you felt the need to give everyone your opinion anyway.
Sorry, it just seemed pointless. The association was soooo loose as to be essentially non-existent. So much so that at first I thought I clicked on the wrong link, or that you had accidentally provided a link to the wrong YouTube video.
I clicked this thread because it said it was a new Jeremiah Wright video and was BREAKING — and I’ve been waiting for new videos to surface, possibly one that showed Obama in a pew, listening to the pastor spew some garbage. That is what I was hoping would surface, so when this turned out to be none of the above and in fact something that to me has really no association whatsoever to the headline, well sorry, but I don’t really the point in it even if was supposed to be humorous. Maybe others did. Whatever.
As far as my “feeling the need to give everyone my opinion anyway,” this is a forum. People post their opinions; that is what we do here. Shouldn’t be a problem for you, even if you disagree with an opinion.
I apologize for my tone in the previous post. I just don’t have much patience for people when I get the “you’re going to offend someone” vibe, and that’s what I thought was underlying your posts. I made a leap that I shouldn’t have.
I’m sorry you failed to see the humor- I saw several parallels: the race-baiting of both men, the use of oratory to demagogue a culprit race and secure for themselves a place of power, the violent gangsta rap as a foil to Wright’s black identity message, Notorious’ tone being just about equal in pitch to Hitler and Wright- plus the video itself is just plain funny.
Unfortunately, jokes aren’t funny any more when you have to explain them.
As for future video to surface, I’m sure they’re out there. These clips look like they hae at least 3 cameras in that church, and the editing is TV quality. They have tapes of everything that’s happened there for years, at least since 03, his earliest comments.
If I was the IRS(who is investigating this church as we speak), I’d confiscate every single tape and watch his political comments with great interest. 501(c3) law is very likely violated. I wonder if they can be obtained from the Treasury Department.
