Okay, I have been pondering renewing my Costco membership or taking a look at Sam's Club.
I noticed that Sam's Club is further away (five miles as opposed to one mile from Costco), Sam's membership is cheaper and their hours are a little better.
Which do you prefer and how do their products (meats, produce) compare?
I have had a Sam's card but I can shop at Walmart if I need something from Sam's.Costco is better quality.
I like Costco because the containers are normal size but you get 3 packs instead of a huge jug of mayo and restaurant sized containers at Sams.
I find their prices are pretty close.
Costco had an incredible return policy, but i think they modified it because too many people were abusing it in the consumer electronics area.
I think Costco has fantastic meat but when I have gone in a Wal-Mart SuperCenter, I do not like the look of their fresh meats. I was wondering if Sam’s Club has that same look that their Super Stores have.
I don’t know about Cosco. There is not one where I live. We buy all our meat at Sam’s and especially like the ground beef. It is ground fresh on site at least 3 times during the day and if it does not sell within 24 hours it is thrown out.
Costco, hands down. The store is cleaner. The meats and produce are fantastic. The selection is the same. I think the prices are the same or lower than Sam’s (where I used to have a membership). And the employees all look and act like they have a functioning brain.
Go to Sams and look around. You can shop there without a membership with a 5-10% fee added to purchases. Costco as well I believe.
Bring a comparison list of your favorite big ticket items you buy on a regular basis. Good cuts of meat. Fresh seafood. The infamous truckload of TP! Laundry detergent etc. Consider buying both memberships and shop at each where the savings are greatest. I know tires are a great deal at Costco.
No Sam’s meat department is not like Wal-Marts. Better quality with their own butcher shop and packaged “normally”!
COSTCO IS A BIG DUMOCRAT CONTRIBUTOR.
I refuse to give my hard earned $$$$ so Hitlery or Hussein will get elected.
I only go to Costco if there’s a specific item in bulk that I NEED, not want. Sam’s serves me fine.
I don’t look at a business and ask if they are a D or an R and base my opinion on that. If they have great products and provide a good service for/to the public, then I will shop there.

choose BJ’s
Costco is one of the few retail outlets that sells prime beef. yummmmm
??? I bet they have some republican employees.
I sorry to hear that Costco is such a big democrat supporter. I really like shopping there whenever possible, and yes the beef cuts are awesome.
So you refuse to give your hard earned $$$$ so Clinton or Obama will get elected...unless you really, really need it? Nice to see someone who's convictions aren't for sale, most of the time.
I have memberships at both. Costco is right next to my office but they only take American Express cards and I don’t have one of those. Sam’s takes Discover and Mastercard. Sam’s is closer to home and the selection is good for what we need and it’s a good value with a large family.
My preference goes to Sam’s.
Agreed BJ’s is much better.
