This is the OFFICIAL DUmmie FUnnies 2007 Weblog Awards Vote thread. You can VOTE for the DUmmie FUnnies HERE. Remember you can vote only once per day. Please keep this thread bumped. To encourage you to return to this thread daily, I will be posting serialized stories about when I used to sell satellite dishes in La-La Land. This serialized set of short stories is called: "Confessions of a Satellite Dish Salesman."

One thing EVERYBODY can do RIGHT NOW is a little creative pimp blogging. It isn't as bad as it sounds. Pimp blogging in this case would be nothing more than going to busy forums and post a lowdown on what is happening on the FUnniest Blog awards and then provide a link to that FUnniest Blog vote site (as well as to the DUmmie FUnnies if they aren't familiar with it) so they too can vote.
The DUmmie FUnnies never claimed to be exactly saintly but we have NEVER been sacriligeous. In fact a Lutheran pastor, our own Charles Henrickson, often substitute DUFUs for me.

I was thinking of pimp blogging on the discussion boards I frequent, but was afraid all the looney leftists I drive crazy there would go and vote against you. It could be counterproductive.

If just a couple of dozen people here do speed Pimp Blogging on a few blogs, then the DUFUs will gain a healthy lead. Know a church forum? Perfect place to pimp blog. Plenty of other great forums too.

I just found something important for everyone to know. You have to double click on the voting button for your vote to go in. The first time I tried to vote this morning, the button turned yellow and the page reset to a different size, but the page did not automatically go to the totals. I found this as my wife was voting on her computer. We looked at the vote totals and with the single click the totals did not increase. With a double click the totals did increase. I just went back on my computer and voted properly.
I’ll note this on the next vote thread.
OK, if your vote was taken, you will be taken to the totals page, instead of the voting options, when you click on a category.

BTW, I found out a great way to meet hot chicks. I can't use this method because I'm now married but you single guys, listen up.
Today I stopped by a few offices while on the road. I mean offices in office buildings where I didn't know a soul. I went into a few offices and asked the secretary if she was connected to the internet. If the answer was in the affirmative, I asked them to go to the DUmmie FUnnies and then click thru the vote link there and vote for the DUFUs for FUnniest Blog. They usually gave me a strange look at first but then chuckled as they clicked thru. I explained to them about being in a big Web contest.
All you single guys can do the same thing this week. A great way to meet hot chicks and you have an excuse to see them again if you want to in order to encourage them to vote on future days until Thursday.
Think of it. No more thinking of lame pickup lines that will only embarrass yourselves. Now you get to talk naturally to lots of hot chicks. If you want to linger you can talk to them about the DUmmie FUnnies. I bet a lot of you will get some really hot dates. Try it!

Listen, anyone out there who posts sometimes in the Religion Forum here? Then visit Sadly No! Trust me, that site smears Western religion beyond belief. If you don't like that situation then post something about it in the Religion Forum here on the FR. The ONLY way to stop Sadly No! which won last year is to vote for the DUmmie FUnnies. Someone needs to point that out and provide the link in the Religion Forum.
