If the GOP establishment and conservative elitists keep trashing and smearing Paul, his supporters are not going to support the GOP nominee in the general.
These attacks on Ron Paul clearly show how far to the left the GOP has moved. Ron Paul will be on my ballot even if he is not the Republican candidate.

Sure... BTW, Paul is a macaroon. I like the guy, but he has no clue. It makes me cringe when I am orders of magnitude to the positive side of the bell curve as far as IQ and reality grasp than a candidate for president. (especially since I am neither the sharpest tool in the marquee nor the brightest tool in the shed)

Do you really think we are morons?
Well, your screen name would lead one to suspect that.

Good Point.
I remember one of my Republican buds over in B’ham mentioning this group a while back. Lot of good people wanting to keep the party centered on principal and reason, but it has more than a few who want to dig up Birch and reconstitute his DNA...

Humor is often lost on fools and ignoramuses.

Well good for you, that’s the spirit!
Us bra burning, baby killin’, wealfare homos in the rest of the party will stick with a winner...

This is definitely a fringe group of the Republican Party. I think they bill themselves as the ‘consevative wing of the Republican Party’.... admitting they aren’t the mainstream or anywhere near the party center.

>> You mean returning to traditional Constitutional principles? That’s a danger to the U.S.?
No, I mean his stubborn dogmatic isolationism (whether appropriate or not), and failure to appreciate that we interact in a world that is MUCH more interconnected than it was back in the days of the privateers going after the pirates.
Those things are neither “constitutional” nor are they smart or safe for the country.

I love the screen name, very inventive, shows an intelligent sense of humor...
I guess we can extrapolate aout others from there...

I would have preferred LibertarianLesbianThesbianMudWrestlingPotSmokingBerkleyiteMidget, but it was taken. ;-)
Damn that Ron Paul guy.

Unfortunately a lot of the Deaniacs are trying to hijack Paul's campaign. Then you got a lot of the anarchist libertarian types too. Wouldn't that mean that his numbers are just bunk?

(especially since I am neither the sharpest tool in the marquee nor the brightest tool in the shed)At least you're right about one thing. Tell what makes Ron Paul a "macaroon" to you and I'll post some of his writings. With a little reading and a short study of conservatism who knows, you might be able to sharpen and shine your admittedly "dull tools"
Don't give up though.

Do you know who John Birch was?
Do you know what his politics were?
I don’t even think Robert Welch knew or cared what John Birch’s politics were.
