My images have been posted here freely for years and years, some have even been used by members here for fundraising or even additional income. The point here isn't really about the images, it's that you or I can be sued ANYWHERE for ANY reason by someone on the Left that wants to shut you up.

No argument there.

Out of curiousity, what would you have done if people had continued posting your images to this site?

You missed the point. You will care where they are posted or what is done with them AFTER the owners of the images you are using to create composites sue you because they disagree with your politics.

I would have to keep track of all the posts NL. You have no idea what I have had to do.

As long as I have been here, and as much as I have contributed, that sir, is an insult totally unwarranted.

LOL!!!!!!!!

Sorry, Spiff, we no longer allow links to anti-conservative sites like RegisteredSmeardia.com on FR.

I was about to say the same thing. You beat me to it.

Absolutely agree that such a comment is completely unwarrented. I've enjoyed your work over the years. Maybe you could send me a FReep mail with important extra "details"?

I, for one, am glad to hear about this situation and I do not appreciate Petronski’s spitballs or Jim Robinson using this thread to continue his Giuliani Jihad. Guess what, Jim — we know how you feel about Rudy. Now why are you not pissed off about somebody getting sued over an innocent Photoshop posted on YOUR forum? Because it happened to somebody who now supports a candidate you don’t like??? Geez. Very disappointing.

You’ve really burned your bridges here. I’m surprised to see that your account was unbanned. You brought this all upon yourself, you know.

So what does the court say about this?

Holy crap, man. That sucks.

Liberals are such dickwads.

Good luck with everything. I hope you can figure out a way to get financial help. I know this sounds like a longshot, but have you been in touch with the ACLU? They sometimes take on a token case like this to fake an appearance of nonpartisanship.

Well, I’m sorry this happened to you. I don’t respect the comments you made on the way out of this forum, and I do think it’s a bit hypocritical to make this post. But nonetheless, this lawsuit is wrong and you’re certainly not deserving of it. Good luck.

Now why are you not pissed off about somebody getting sued over an innocent Photoshop posted on YOUR forum?

Because it wasn't all that "innocent". It contained NO indicator that it was a fake, it did not have the Registered@aol.com email address or any other Registered logo that had been used on every other image, and it didn't appear to the less discerning to be a fake. It was quickly exposed as a hoax but not before it fooled people at the VFW and others who had been convinced by the factual information from the Swift Boat Veterans. It brought discredit upon Free Republic and hurt the efforts of groups like the Swift Boat Veterans who were fighting to defend their own credibility. It was a turd in the punchbowl and it still stinks. Since then, Registered has gone far afield, photoshopping and attacking conservative candidates, and generally being a nasty, mean-spirited supporter of the most liberal Republican candidate to ever run for the office of President. Now he wants sympathy for his own poor judgement, his accusations of some massive left wing conspiracy attcking him notwithstanding.

Freedom of speech only applies to the government vs. the citizens.

We are to speak our minds. Speech, be it written, spoken or otherwise, is an action. Actions have consequences.

You (and a couple of resident co-authors) could write a book on that subject.

Jim,

I see how this thread is going to go. So I apologize for even posting it.

By posting this thread, I honestly thought it would be a good thing to discuss how the Left is working against activists in the court system. But I know that casting pearls is not a profitable thing to do before swine. Frankly Jim, you have allowed the swine to take over FR. I suppose I had secretly wished otherwise, but you are a #1 Pig Farmer now, and the piglets are right here in this thread calling out to each other.

My images have provided you with absolutely free content for years, never did I ask for any money in exchange for what I did. I have even created images specifically FOR you at YOUR request (Remember when you had the dream to create sub sites? I was there trying to help you). I never asked for a single cent. I have helped fellow Freepers with their activism and chapter projects. When Sore-Loserman came about, you freely accepted the thousands and thousands of dollars in “donations” you received via the Cafe Press stores that I managed. I have all the documentation showing how much my images HAVE benefitted FR, and really more importantly, how they promoted Conservatism. Yet you sit there allowing someone that has helped you and the things you believe in be attacked.

You truly are no friend Jim Robinson.

Close my account.
