Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy will be the guest of honor next month at a major fundraiser for one of the lead homophobic organizations in Indiana, the Indiana Family Institute. The IFI is affiliated with super homophobe James Dobson and his extreme right, anti-gay Focus on the Family.
But what's even worse, the Colts appear to have endorsed the fundraiser, apparently permitting their logo to appear on the event's official flyer, and permitting the coach to appear in the flyer in uniform and on the job.
Yes, in America you have the right to be a homophobic bigot and lend your name to help intolerant anti-civil-rights groups raise money. But that doesn't make it right. I seriously hope Tony Dungy and the homophobic Colts won't be popping up in any commercials for any companies any time soon, or there will be hell to pay.
Even though he didnt say so, he is still a bigot. It is just ridiculous that you are characterized as a homophobe just because you are so crazy to hold people responsible for their actions.
maybe for the list, i think its going to be interesting to say how Dungy is classified. He was a hero, but I don't know now???
Look, James Dobson is now considered a super-hero!!!
This is projection disguised as a press release.
Anything that wants to maintain family is automatically anti gay.
If this gains any traction, I wonder what Tony will say and what the media will say re: Tony.
I've always like Tony Dungy. Wish he'd been the Steelers coach instead of Cowher.
Maybe Peyton Manning and Jeff Saturday will come by and show the crowd how they hike the ball... Some woman in the crowd would probably faint....
I suppose that post makes sense (to a liberal).
Somebody needs to tell these people that a "homophobe" is someone who is fearful of men. Someone who believes the homosexual lifestyle is wrong is not "fearful" but holds to a moral position. Someone (me?) needs to start a campaign to educate people in the proper use of words!
Just a joke. I am not a liberal... I am not familiar with this group in Indiana. Why do people call it homophobic?
I'm not a homophobe, I am homonauseated - sick of the gay agenda.
I have never understood the term "homophobic". do these people really think that he or anyone else has "fear" of homosexuals? because they disagree with the homosexuals deviant behavior? The proper description should be "homodisgustives" or something like that.

phobia - an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation
so you are scared of hominids, I know I am not.
Its more like homosexual-aversion, or perhaps "reality of homosexuality syndrome".
lol, i did the same breakdown before i read your post
I'm not familiar with the specific group in Indiana but I have heard Jim Dobson on the subject of homosexuality a few times. He recognizes that homosexual behavior is destructive and that societal recognition and approval of the behavior mostly through the means of redefinition of the human family is also destructive to society. That's really his main focus, the human family. There is only one norm in human families and that is monogamous marriage. He comes at it though an unusual combination of fundamentalist Christianity and scientific research (he has a Ph.D in Child Development & was Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at USC)
That has got to be the most self-contradictory statement I have ever read.
AMEN! That is a great word! Adding to my lexicon!
