I'm surprised nobody has yet caught the bit about the 300 Spartans marching on Rome. I burst out laughing when I read that. I have no idea what he's talking about, but the idea seems to be that the Roman Ceasar secretly paid off some Spartans to terrorize Rome, just like our modern day Ceasar is secretly in cahoots with Osama.
Interesting backwards projection.

Gary Hart is a disturbed and mentally unstable man and has been so for a long time. He has, fortunately, no chance to become president. John McCain, on the other hand...

It would help if I read through the other posts first. You guys DID know it was Greek Spartans.
Never mind.

It would help if I read through the other posts first. You guys DID know it was Greek Spartans. I certainly didn't think it was the football team from my local high school.

For those of us who believe history holds valuable lessons, there is instruction to be had from the experience of other great powers. In the particular case of the American Republic it is important to consider the history of other republics. . . . Sounds like the beginning of a Bad Pitt essay (see "Third American Empire"). Maybe the Ponderous One could get a job as Hartpence's press secretary (while secretly supporting Kerry).

I am shocked, shocked! I tell you, that the President, who has the authority to appoint judges, is appointing judges who share his basic philosophy. This is unprecendented. Well, except for the 42 guys who did it previously. HA! You forgot Grover Cleveland. :P

I don't know how many times a DUmmie talks about us putting them in concentration camps or taking away their rights and then in the next breath state that they can't wait until they are in power because they are going to kill us or put us away. The hypocrisy is amazing.
To: PJ-Comix
In 21st century America the current government (the presidency and Congress of one party). . . . You know, I seem to recall in TWENTIETH century America there were LOTS of years the government was the presidency and Congress of one party--the DEMOCRAT party--and it got us things like Big Government, an activist Supreme Court, the welfare state, Vietnam. . . .
