The second coming happens when the last trumpet blows. I'm thinking this is the seventh trumpet in revelations. I'm afraid there will be Christians around during most of the tribulation.

You might want to re-read Revelation you're mixing two events together. Like other times in the Bible, the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah ... He removes HIS people first, then all hell brakes loose.

There will be some new Christians around during the Trib but before the Trib occurs, Christians will be "caught up" to meet the Lord in the clouds. He'll be back though ... when Armageddon occurs and will stop that.
