Prayer Request for myself

I humbly ask that all the prayer warriors out there pray for me. I have had a sinus infection for over two months and it has taken it's toll on me both spiritually and emotionally. I now realize now (finally) that this attack is not physical in nature but spiritual and from the evil one. It has kept me from sleeping naturally and sapped all my energy and joy.
I am in a very good church and G_d placed the people before me that I needed and who prayed hard over me and helped me today.
Pray that G_d sheilds me from the lies of the evil one and that I may put on the full armor of G_d so that I may resist the attacks when they come.

It's okay, cva. I appreciate your input and will write more to you later in FReepmail.
I have been through this quite a bit --- what Blood of Tyrants is going through --- many dark nights of the soul. My heart goes out to our FReeper friend.

I just had a bad feeling about something last night I had seen for myself and nearly experienced myself. B.O.T. knows it now. Once you know & understand what's happening it's much less a danger :>} There are several differing origins to anxiety & depression. One form can not be treated with SSRI's and that is sinus/vestibular. I think his doctor caught on.

I will be remembering you. I hope you will quickly beat this and begin sleeping well soon.

Any type of meditation that helps relax me isn't cheesy. I will try breathing and relaxing.

If it's any consolation, my daughter has this sort of trouble. You're gonna end up on some serious antibiotics for a fair amount of time, and maybe some potent decongestants, but eventually (reasonably soon) you'll be feeling better.
After this, you'll be wanting to be very careful about taking decongestants at the first sign of trouble....
Prayers for your speedy recovery.

The trick is to relax specific parts of your body. Here is a little guide for you to do if you want. I have found it very helpful because it is surprisingly hard to relax specific parts of the body, but feels great when you do. Burning incense and playing sounds from the rain forest may help. Just kidding! ;) It explains exactly what to do from this website,
http://swamij.com/relaxation.htm#tenseandrelease
This practice is very simple to do and will probably take no more than a couple minutes (longer if it is comfortable). The basic practice is simply to tense muscle groups, and then release the tension. You may find it comfortable to go through the sequence only one time, or to go through it several times.
Do both the tensing and the releasing with full awareness. There is no need to tense at 100% of your capacity--about 50% of your capacity to tense will be sufficient.
It is best to maintain breath awareness as you do the practices. You will come to experience the way in which breath is a manifestation of energy, and how that energy flows throughout your being.
First, tense all of the muscles of the face, including forehead, cheeks, mouth, and upper neck. Then release with full awareness. You will notice the relaxation.
Gently roll the head from side to side, with awareness of the tightening muscles, and the feeling of release.
Tighten the shoulders, pulling them upwards and forwards. Then release.
Tense the entire right arm, from the shoulder down through the fingers. Do this without making a fist or lifting your arm off of the floor. Allow your attention to be deep inside the arm, not just on the surface. Then release slowly, with awareness.
Tense the left arm in the same way, and observe the release.
Gently tense the muscles of the chest and the abdomen, while continuing to breathe without holding the breath. Then release.
Tense and release the right hips and the buttocks.
Tense and release the right leg, down through the feet and toes in the same way that the right arm was tensed and released.
Tense and release the left hips and buttocks.
Tense and release the left leg.
While no longer tensing any muscles, allow your attention to drift back up through the legs, through the abdomen and chest, through the arms, and back to the face.
After completing the Tense and Release practice, you might want to do it again, go on to the Complete Relaxation, or proceed to the next phase of Yoga Meditation, which is working more directly with the breath, such as starting with breath awareness or diaphragmatic breathing.

If you got some oregano laying around on the shelf, sniff its oders or boil some and sniff it. Its anti-fungal, if that's the type you have.

Some remedies/suggestions sound so simple that we can tend to dismiss them, however.............. About ten years ago my daughter had a horrible sinus infection. She, who was 18 and not wimpy at all, was in sheer agony and would actually cry off and on because she was so miserable.
She began a round of antibiotic (don't remember which one) and after three days had not the slightest sign of relief. We returned to Urgent Care and they were even concerned that she might have meningitis due to the pain. They quickly ruled that out. Another doctor saw her and decided to change the strength of the antibiotic, but expressed, in emphatic terms, what I needed to do, no matter what.
He said that it would be okay to wait until morning to fill the new Rx but to absolutely stop on the way home and buy Afrin Nasal Spray; just the regular 12 hour one. He said to use it as directed and it would shrink the swelling and allow the sinuses to drain. He also said unless she did that, the antibiotic was not going to do much for her.
It sounded too "over-the-counter" at first, but what did we have to lose? Well, she used it that night and the next morning and began having less pain right away. I was actually surprised, but awfully glad, of course.
This may not be the answer for everyone, but I thought I'd throw it in the mix.

A few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ears won't hurt either. Let it bubble until it stops and repeat in the other ear. Sounds crazy, but God works like that. Let me know, there are more tricks.

Perhaps someone else has suggested it but if possible you might consult a naturpath. They can be very good. You would still take your medical doctor's advice and medicine, etc. But naturpaths can help a lot and answer questions.

Please ping your list agian. I finally got a good 8 hours sleep last night after 2 1/2 days on nearly none. I was in terrible shape and ended up having to take the Ambien to save my sanity.
Praise G_d for the sleep I got and pray that I get more tonight.
I have an appointment at a sleep study clinic next Wednesday so they can see if they can figure out what is wrong.
