Her life was about politics - the politics of freedom and the politics of equality - as was her husband's life. How disengenuous. You can celebrate Mrs. King's politics without taking cheap shots at invited guests. Democrats have dishonored her memory.

Wow. A significant nummber of DUmmies have enough class to recognize that taking cheap shots at Bush during the funeral was out of line. Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming, there may be hope for the Dem party yet.

Leave it to the DUmmies to support the outrageous travesty of the things said at that "funeral"/political rally.

Was Reagan's funeral truth or politics according to white corporate America? Can you imagine:
"As we honor Ronald Reagan today, we must never forget that 9-11 happened because Bill Clinton was too busy sodomizing interns to take Al Queda seriously."

Mrs. King was a dignified lady who held her head high and took on the challenges that confronted her in life.
I felt that those who turned her funeral into a political rally instead of a celebration of her life and accomplishments greatly disrespected her memory.
The service should have been about honoring her memory and not to push political agenda.

...he has put in place the means to DISMANTLE all the advances made through the work of the Kings, Carter and Clinton.
I have asked numerous black people what clinton or carter did for them. Have NEVER received an answer other than a lame "I can't think of one particular thing right now".

Then there was his grandstanding in LaFayette Park for the First Day When Everything Finally Changed last June followed by the Second Day When Everything Finally Changed But Was Buried Under Hurricane Coverage last September. That reminds me... I was sick over the weekend. Did the big rally down in DC wind up driving BushCo from office and installing John Kerry as President?

DUmmies admit that Mrs King's corpse made a useful PR prop:
Zanne: As liberals, we have to grab any opportunity we can to get the message out
Pacifist Patriot : democrats had a chance to make points without media intervention
