Why not.....if you had solid intel Zarqawi was in the group you were chasing...I think we would risk Syria getting its hackles up.

DEBKA did say that we only crossed over after we gave Syria an ultimatum. Perhaps we have just gotten tired of threatening them. How long do we have to say "stop harboring terrorists or there will be consequences" before we actually start implementing 'consequences'?

what international complications... Both Panhead and the UN have know that Syria is on a very short list of places that could face the wrath of the US military... I don't think anyone would be suprised if this occured.. yet I would like to find additional information backing this up.
