Syria has been backing the z-man for a while. The big ?? is what info bits have Jordanian intel passed along to coalition forces, with what predictable action. Not likely that Jordan wants Syria to go all apesh!t and retake Lebanon, and a chunk of Jordan.

That aside, border skirmishes are newsworthy. Just not all that rare.
