There's an old topic by this name, and it seems like it would be of some interest in casual moments.
That was a goodie. When I was an early teen, I devoured Bradbury's writing, and I did see the movie. It made me want to try to memorize stuff, but I didn't get too far at memorizing any book word for word! The urge did pass. Gave me more time for reading great writing.
Favorite movies about Mars?
Cat Women from Mars?
Robinson Crusoe on Mars?
Mars Attacks?
Invaders from Mars?
Mars Needs Women?
(My favorite is probably the Rock Hudson mini-series of the Martian Chronicles. I liked it a lot - at least when I saw it the first time)
Didn't The Three Stooges go there once?
I have to brush up on my History.
I think Abbot and Costello may have....I wouldn't be surprised if the Stooges did. And the Brave Little Toaster has gone there as well.
Very well. "It's about time, it's about space, it's about time I slapped your face..." that was the prank parody of the theme song. I think it had a single full season, and part of a second, but that was a while back, and I was pretty young then. The astronauts finally figured out how to reverse their trip, by relaunching their capsule (despite lacking a booster rocket!), spinning it just so, and returning to the 1960s, complete with two cave-stowaways. The merry hijinks of having to hide these two cave people turned out to be of no interest to the viewing public.
Could you be talking about the Toho flick "The Mysterians?" As to the British flick, I seem to think it starred Forrest Tucker, and was maybe called "The Cosmic Monsters." Saw it on a double bill with "The Crawling Eye." (known in the UK as "The Trollenburg Terror." was a TV miniseries there first, I think).
You may be right about the Mysterians. That rings a bell!
....Brit. SciFi Series, Captain Scarlet? ..like The Thunderbirds.
