Yes, it does ping people...everywhere there was a faint whiff coming from my pants after I read the first sentence. For a second I actually believed my post had been sent to everybody and I could expect one million replies when they woke up tommorow and laughed at me.

Thanks. I use an airbrush (usually a Paasche VL with a medium tip) for the overall colour coats. The small details are painted with a variety of brushes (usually natural hair or very fine synthetics). My weathering is a multistep affair.

I shy away from using decals for instrument panels. I try to paint the details or I use details printed on photo film along with a photoetched panel face.

Aside from working.
Building maintenance had a plumbing disaster today.
They cut into the wrong line, flooded 3 floors and shut the water off to the entire building.
For some reason only known to them, they cut the air conditioning off as well.
We had no flush water and more importantly no coffee water.
I got a cart and buckets and hiked through the pedway to the hospital on a water run.
Managed to get back intact until I reached the very entrance to the office. Hit the corner rounding it and sloshed water on the carpet.
When the water came back it was brown and had to be left running for 2 hours before I would trust the coffee.
Temp in the office got up to 87.

Have you vented your frustrations on a despised co-worker with a blackjack? That can be very cathartic.

Hey, I'll chime in and say I like your plane.
I've done a few Hasegawa 1/200 airliners - 737-200, 747-400, DC-9 (which I retooled into a 717)
Aluminum skin is HARD to duplicate in miniature, IMO.
I like to use Airliners.net for detailing info and pics.

My few airliners are in 1/144 scale. What do you use for metal? Metalisers? Bare-Metal Foil? I usually use Model Master metalisers applied over a very fine primer coat. Also, I apply the metaliser in several thin mist coats until I have a nice, even sheen.

Hehehe.
Might get me fired.
No violence workplace.

"No violence workplace."
Dang, they gotts suck the fun out of EVERYTHING. Jeez. Lemme guess, no blackmail allowed either.
To: bobdsmith
Forum wise that's the equivalent of yelling "Hey everybody!"
It doesn't actually ping anybody, but post wise it is a signal to 'look here'.
Took me forever to figure that out myself.
(With humorous results.)

I use Testor's Model Masters too. I use FloQuil Primer and water sand with automobile polishing compound (the finest - don't know the grit). For decal setting, I use MicroSol and finalize everything with an overcoat of gloss sheen to give the appearance of the metal surface reflecting through the paint scheme.
