I don't know where you got that idea. This is "not a debating society" according to JM.

I don't agree with that, myself. I think we should be allowed to keep a few of the straightforward ones as pets since MurryMom keeps excaping from her cage ...

This one would have been great. He seemed fairly tame. No need to put him down.

What idea?

This is "not a debating society" according to JM.

Do you mean JR?

I've always found this phrase amusing. There is little here that is not debate, of one form or another. It's one thing to say we reject certain leftist notions and that certain things are settled. But within the right, there are certainly many unsettled questions and we discuss them here every day.

Thanks for posting that. I guess it isn't that strange, after all.

Not to butt in, but there are some people who eat dirt, for real. We lived in Georgia years ago and we heard about a somewhat common practice of eating that red clay. It is a form of "pica", which is, according to the Webster's dictionary: an abnormal desire to eat substances (as chalk or ashes) not normally eaten. Pregnant women are susceptible to this because of minerals missing in their diet that they crave. Now, I'll go away! LOL!

I've heard of that too. When my sister was pregnant, she wanted to eat her laundry detergent. She would go into her laudryroom and just smell the detergent. I think it was "Surf" powdered detergent.

And we know that chemo does affect taste. But does surgery?

Pain meds can do this to your tastebuds. I still want to know why he is eating red peppers just 2 weeks after a surgery like this. The meal he described sounded like Fajitas.

Well, JR (ahem) considers a debating society as a "free for all" I'm guessing. Of course we debate here, but that's not the main purpose of the forum.

Oh yes! I've heard of this now that you bring it up.

Thanks for the reminder.

You're welcome. I had a friend who craved shaved ice--same thing there.

What about the tomatoes too? When I was having problems with acid reflux, tomatoes were one of the things on the "no" list.

Anyway, his mention of tomatoes struck me as odd.

We're both right. His diet is not one recommended by doctors this soon after this kind of surgery.

I Think when Undie was turning the pages of his "script", two pages got stuck together and he posted things that he was going to post in 3 more weeks.

That just sounds sooooooo right! LOL! Andy's too stupid to know that he just made another small but fatal error that we picked up on. Ya can't fool the FReepers!

The only sense it makes is that he had all that money to spend, and if he didn't go to JHH, even the DUmbest of the DUmmies might have gotten suspicious and have demanded a return of their child support check! Then he couldn't recoup in the Carribean! LOL!

There's no way he had pancreatic cancer surgery and got out in the record time that he did--not at a hospital with the reputation of that one! They wouldn't have been that careless!

Now that is sad. I certainly hope the children were not deprived of necessities in order for their mother to give to Andy's fund. It is all well and good to try to help someone in need (or someone whom you think is in need), but one must first make sure that those little ones who depend on you are cared for first.

"Welcome to FR. I'm a PADI Advanced diver. Where do you live, I'm going to be getting back in the water sometime in the next couple of years and I'm looking for dive partners."

Right now I'm hanging out near Raleigh, NC waiting for big financial break so that I can buy a little shack near San Pedro, Belize.

If you're interested in wreck diving there's charters from the NC coast 7 days a week and there's almost always someone looking for a partner. Personally I like to wait till late June to start my NC diving, the water gets much warmer then and depending on the location I can get by with a 1 mil. or nothing at all.
