As Andy is rolling in dough like a pig in mud, I would argue that the only way for Andy to keep his paws out of the s*** (great expression, BTW) is to prove that he did NOT know that he was getting his windfall from people assuming he had pancreatic cancer. He's good, but he's not a Clinton.

After reading the threads on DU, CU, and here for the last couple of days...Andy has never claimed in public (online)that he has cancer...but maybe has told the other DU'ers privately that he has cancer...that's the way it reads to me...

They have 4 options available to them:

1. Cooperate, and let the feds passively persecute them. Risky, as the feds WILL know sooner or later.

2. Andy beats Pitt to the safety valve, wherein he walks and Pitt goes to jail.

3. Pitt beats Andy to the safety valve, wherein Pitt walks & Andy goes to jail.

4. They both arrive there at the same time, in which case nobody gets the safety valve and they all get jail time.

The safety valve is used by the Feds in conspiracy cases as a weapon in the War on Drugs. I makes it in a suspects best interest to turn on his partners or higher ups. It is also used in other kind of conspiracy cases. Should everyone get to the Fed together, then it becomes a game of upmanship. The one who has more to offer wins in this case. If it comes to this, Andy knows where all the bodies are buried and will bring down the others.

I was offered to me when I got busted. I kept my whole operation very compartmentalized. Everyone only knew their part in the chain and really knew nothing else. They could bring me down but could not connect the Feds to anyone above me or below themselves in the chain.

I turned down the offer even though I was looking at a life sentence. Why? Honor. I have been a student of the Samurai Sword(Iaido) for almost 30 years. I have followed the Bushido Code of the Warrior for just as long. I was the one who got busted, bringing down one or more of my connections would not have been the honorable thing to do.

No one in the den of theives that is AndyScam suffers from an abundance of honor.

Something weird is happening to me on this thread. Everytime I hit refresh a box pops up saying "Welcome to MSN Communities: Please sign in with your Passport Acct." Then it ask me for my email address and password. It's not happening on any other thread. I keep hitting cancel but it comes right back when I hit refresh. Does anybody know how to get rid of it or why I have it.

I absolutely believe that Andy told Skinner, Pitt, et.al. that he had cancer, but can anyone prove that, i.e. did Andy tell them in person, over the phone, etc. Like I said, there's hearsay and then there's evidence.

I am by no means a lawyer or very knowledgeable about the law but isn't hearsay 2nd or 3rd hand knowledge? If all parties involved state that Andy told them personally via email, phone, etc...then is it not considered evidence?
