DUmmie FUnnies 02-07-05 ("Is anyone else here appalled by the nationalism in the Super Bowl?")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | February 7, 2005 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Falling into a coma while watching a Super Bowl game is a strange experience. It happened to me last night. Yesterday afternoon I came down with a cold that got worse and worse. By the time the Super Bowl started I was barely on the conscious side of comatose while lying on my couch trying to watch the game. Basically I was falling into and out of consciousness during the first half of the game, barely aware of what was real and what wasn’t. My last lucid thought about the Super Bowl was the ceremony honoring the veterans, including the military currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. At that point I JUST KNEW this was going to irk the DUmmies as you can see in this DUmmie THREAD titled, “Is anyone else here appalled by the nationalism in the Super Bowl?” As usual, the DUmmie whines are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, still recuperating from a touch of the flu, is in the [brackets]:

Is anyone else here appalled by the nationalism in the Super Bowl?

[Gee. I wonder what the answer to that question is going to be? Such a toughie.]

yes my husband. he just turned off the superbowl to watch sci-fi channel.

[What was on the sci-fi channel? “Attack of the Forty Foot Bolshevik?”]

The false appearance of national unity the fraudulent linkage of a sordid colonial war to WWII. If our national prestige could fall any lower with our traditional allies this will do it.

[Yeah. Our traditional allies are going to be influenced by the Super Bowl.]

I know, it's insulting to those who fought in WWII for them to use WWII to glorify the imperialist wars of Iraq and Afghanistan.

[I thought the Democrat talking point was that being in Afghanistan was correct but Iraq was wrong. Thanx for the clarification since you have shown that the DUmmies think even going after Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan was bad.]

I'm glad I am not watching it. I used to be a loyal football fan--no more. I suspected this fascist overview would reign--sports events are susceptable to propagandist devices now. If it is true--I shy away, much as I like sports.

[Maybe you should become a curling fan.]

It's the 1936 Berlin Olympics Redux

[And that is Leni Riefenstahl’s camera you’re feeling up your butt.]

amazed. disgusted. and somewhat sickened. kind of like Germany and the nazi Olympics... or what I would have expected in communist Russia in the days of old...spreading the "freedom" bs a bit thick and deep and the militaristic rah-rahs gave me a nauseating jolt. have turned off the telly at this point. Frankly i would have preferred another Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction...

[This year we were treated to a DUmmie mental malfunction.]

IT IS SICKENING... I used to live in Jacksonville and I can't believe the way in which the bush fascist empire has taken over a previously incredibly healthy get together sports time in jacksonville...There will be true celebration on the streets of MURRRIKKKAHHHH the day the bush fascist empire falls...as it has always happened anywhere when dictatorships of the right or of the left fall.

[Election Day must have been tough for you. Very tough.]

The Super Bowl is tonight? Wow, guess I just forgot....Have they scored any home runs yet?

[No but the hockey puck got slammed into your head.]

Some of them try to use the Queen's English, but ineptly so, while others forget, and are hence easily detected as the frauds they are.

Since I first noticed that phenomenon a couple of months ago, one DUmmie pretending to be "Canadian," but actually from some dark damp basement in Ohio, has gone overboard in using the Queen's English, having omitted to do such in all previous posts.

(Which proves that DUmmies read P.J.'s DUmmie FUnnies.)

But this Buckeye DUmmie tries too hard, in using the Queen's English, and "trying too hard" is always a dead giveaway.

" And losing conciousness isn't exactly a normal symptom of a cold."

That depends on one's preferred method of dealing with the symptoms of said cold.

Are you OK now? And losing conciousness isn't exactly a normal symptom of a cold.

I'm better now but still weak. It might have been a slight touch of the flu.

I took a glass of orange juice, a bowl of chicken noodle soup, and a bowl of chili with tabasco sauce. Then I went into and out of something like a coma. All I know is that I froze on my couch and couldn't move a muscle for hours. Okay now but weak.

I figured something was ailing you--the job, personal life, some sort of ailment, or somesuch--given the non-regularity of the DUmmie FUnnies the past few days. Get well, and get well quickly.

While all of your fans--surely they are in the thousands now, on Free Republic, at some time destined to become hundreds of thousands, in the book stores--really appreciate all the work and thought and wit that goes into the DUmmie FUnnies, if for some reason you are not up to it, because of the flu or something, sleep with an easy conscience. We would miss you, but we would rather have you healthy and vigorous.

If it were Clinton's war, they would not be making these statements.

Check out THIS UNDERGROUND OF RODENTS THREAD, PJ. They love Wesley Clark for helping to save 1.5 million Albanians from Milosevik. What to you think they would have said if W did that?

Why do these people choose to live in America?

That's exactly what I was thinking. If I was this unhappy living anywhere, I'd move. Whatever you do, though, don't challenge THEIR patriotism...given their superior intellect and keen awareness, the most patriotic thing they can do for us intellectually challenged, troop-loving, warmongers is point out when we're being too patriotic!

Then again, most of them probably can't afford to move (maybe we should start a fund, as long as they promised NEVER to come back). I'd think, given all the meds they take, the prospect of being able to live in their favorite country with socialized medicine would be enough to make them think they've found nirvana (was going to say Heaven, but remembered who I was talking about).

Still, when it comes right down to it, they'd probably be less happy in a country where the majority shared their values. Their whole self-worth revolves around being able to point their oh-so-superior fingers at the "unelightened masses" and impress each other with scathing four-letter witticisms...pathetic!

I keep seeing references to this oddly-spelled country on the DUmmie boards. Exactly where, pray, is this fabled and distant land "MURRRIKKKAHHHH" located, anyway...? :)

Even if I were OK, I figured no sense in putting up a DUFU last night since most people would be watching the Super Bowl anyways. Also, on Saturday, I went to King Buffet where I ate too many oysters with sauce on them and I think the sauce gave me some acid reflux so didn't feel like DUFUing after that.

Feel better, PJ. I hope you don't have what I'm getting over... I was flat on my butt for four days and it should have been five.

Well you know the DUmmies would have been all smiles and giggles if they'd dropped McCartney at half time and instead performed a mass GAY Wedding!

Ha ha ha...

Truly, without a doubt, LIBERALISM is a deeply troubling and destructive MENTAL DISORDER.

When I was 12 I adopted a Liverpool accent to be like the Beatles....I thought it was cool (of course they were popular then)

Does this mean that we are being "entertained" by 12 year olds? ;'}

I usually get over colds/flus pretty quickly. I remember being on the road in Ohio and suddenly coming down with an INCREDIBLE fever. So I checked into a motel room, bought a large bag of oranges and lots of cans of soup and chili. By the next day I was feeling a lot better and within 3 days I was good to go. Try drinking fresh squeezed OJ, chicken noodle soup, and chili con carne with Tabasco sauce. I find this stuff works a LOT better than cold medicine.
