Delusional enough to believe John Kerry would ride into DC on his white horse yesterday, guns blazing, to save them from Karl Rove's concentration camps

Thanks
Pretty scary, huh?
I do my version of Jack Nichelson from that movie he did with Kennier -- I take a Conservative, remove all logic and responsibility, add a touch of paranoia and class envy and voila!

Tell me why I should keep fighting.
Excellent post.
I have never had anyone tell me why I should keep fighting. I would consider it an insult if they did. Anyone who knows me knows the fire runs deep and the flame can only be extinguished in the casket.
The Dummies depend on group think, group support, and they want group government. They are collectivists from the tip of their toes to the top of their heads.
That is why they have so few leaders.
At FR there are natural leaders everywhere. When there is work to be done they just do it. Leaders lead.
FR wasn't founded because a bunch of folks whined "We need a leader." Jim just saw something that needed to be done and he did it.

cigar smoke
At a work break I lit up one of the new El Rey Del Mundo Bon Bons (a small cigar) and this lib woman started to run away.
Says she: "I can't stand cigar smoke."
This is so funny because the ERDMs have a beautiful subtle aroma.
The libs need to smell the flowers in life. :-)

Their NeoCon fake 911 conspiracy theory is a hoot.
A couple of old friends are named by them as co-conspirators (Bill Kristol and Steve Rosen).
I bet both would have a belly laugh about this if they have heard of it.
It is a standard non-falisifiable conspiracy theory. Anyone who denies its existence is in on the conspiracy. (I feel deeply offended that Bill and Steve didn't feel that I was worthy of their trust.)
;-)

Google her - Victoria Parks, of Columbus Ohio - she's a Renaissance Faire musician. I'll make sure to look for at the Maryland RenFair next fall just to mock her.

Peej, today's edition is a real hoot. I was awaiting it with baited breath! Maybe some of us can get together and figure out how to fund a book deal for you....it would be well worth it!

I was once very much to the left and one of the (many) things that put me on the right track ;) was seeing this pervasive sense of entitlement--that the government had to do this and that for them, that others in the group had to drop everything and cheer them up when they were merely feeling the blues we all feel sometimes, etc.
This attiude was especially visible in this disdain for those who prized individual rights and individual initiative--it was as if someone wanting to do his or her own thing was INSULTING everyone else.
"Why should I keep fighting?" I dunno--that's YOUR question to answer. Some of the comments on DU are so ALIEN to me that I could not imagine dealing with these people on any level involving trust or reliance in terms of doing a job. No wonder they love protests--they can disappear in the crowd and feel they accomplished something just by standing and breathing.

Any GOOD cigar has a wonderful aroma, IMHO. What beats me is the ones who believe cigarettes smell better than cigars. Go figger.

The MSM coverage I have seen so far was very interesting.
They went into "objective" mode, which they almost never do!
That is, instead of stating their opinion about the validity of the Rat charges, they simply gave the Rats a little air time and left it at that.
If a Republican makes any charge (valid or baseless or anywhere in between) the MSM is quick with the rebuttal or rebuttals.
I have been waiting for fifty years for any major media outlet to use the word "left wing extremist". I call it the one-winged bird syndrome. The political spectrum has only right-wing extremists, according to the MSM.
Yesterday the left-wing extremist bird was in full flight for all to see. So the MSM covered their eyes, shut their mouths, and pretended the overflight didn't happen.

Our government has experienced a coup, and nobody cares but us in the minority Note to Paligal: What you call a coup is normally referred to a an election. The candidate who receives the majority of votes wins. The rest are the "minority", i.e. you.
Lesson in logic: if only the minority care about your "coup", then the election functioned correctly.
