Has anybody here ever read "The Proud Tower", by Barbera Tuchman? YUP! I read that book and "The Guns of August" also by Tuchman. Good books. It's amazing the level of civilization reached in Europe (at least Western Europe) and it was all thrown away over really nothing.

No DUFU AM edition today. Have to take off soon. However, look for the PM edition later.

We Don't need the governments approval. We don't NEED their allowance of it. We will accomplish our goals anyway. Cause we are DU. We are unstoppable. We will plow through any obstacles in our way. We WILL NOT give up. We WILL NOT give in. We WILL NOT let them get away with this. O-kay... Time for the pretty pink pill...

Why would such a long-time, accomplished programmer not have called the "undocumented objects" added to the voter screens Easter Eggs instead of "hidden buttons"?

Now is a good time to sign up on DU and troll for flamers.
The DU rules are very clear that you are not allowed to personally attack other members, nor are you allowed to call another member a disruptor. When you point out another member's post count or insinuate that newbies are disruptors, that is exactly what you are doing. You can find the DU rules here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/forums/rules.html#...
This behavior has been increasingly common on DU, and lately has gotten completely out of control, most notably in this forum, but also in other forums. Therefore, the moderators have been instructed to step-up their enforcement of this rule.
There will not be anymore overlooking of these offenses. We will no longer be letting posts stand that are carefully worded to try not to break the rule, but still have a very clear meaning. People who the moderators find are breaking this rule more than once, or who break it severely, will be issued automatic warnings. If necessary, we will take even more drastic steps to eliminate this behavior.
DU signs up dozens of new members every day, and 95% of them are legitimate, concerned liberals. When we make fun of people because of post count or insinuate newbies are disruptors or tell a newbie their opinion doesn't matter because they only have 50 posts, we drive away the future of DU. This behavior must stop immediately.
If you see someone engaging in this type of personal attack, please hit 'Alert' so the moderators can deal with it. Thank you.

No DUFU today. Feeling way too tired. Will do a DUFU tomorrow in the AM when I have a gut full of coffee. It's weird but this DUFU that I did yesterday was done on the fly in just minutes while standing at a college library computer. But when you're tired, you just can't fight the Sandman.

Wow. Just read your link (couldn't get on yesterday)...these people are deranged. 30% unemployment? Riots and revolution? Where do they live? Not in the same country I do, that's for sure. They're kind of scary.

LOL! Can you imagine what it would be like if FR made a new rule that we couldn't mention someone's registration date or insinuate they might be a DUmmie?

Yes, even us Republicans agree that there was major fraud in this last election.
YOUR DNC FRAUD!
Since you now admit full knowledge that there was major fraud in this last election, are you willing to pass new laws to insure it will not happen again?
If not, why not?
Remember how upset the DNC was with the RNC, because the RNC wanted to insure that only qualified voters would be allowed? Remember how the DNC kept crying that every vote should be counted?
You knew darn well how much voter fraud from the DNC was being perpetrated!

The Dummies crying about voter fraud will make them permanent outcasts in their party which has had significant fraud in their urban machines since the late 1880s.
In several posts they have even admitted that fraud is bad even if it helps Democrats.
Clearly no Rat campaign would dare give them more responsibility than licking stamps on envelopes or providing sexual services to the candidate.

Mr. Comix,
Would you be so kind as to alert me when new additions of DU Funnies become available? They are so terribly entertaining, I would feel like a Big Silly if I missed one.
Thank you so very much,

Soooooo, PJ--did you decide that the DUmmies were just not up to their usual hi-jinxs tonight, or did you forget the ping list? Hmmmmm! I am having major withdrawals! I hope the slime didn't bury you! We'll keep watching for the show to begin! :^P

look at the totality of DU, you will find insight, honesty and 100's of people who care about our nation and our planet. Any attempts to turn DU posts into a comic book will be met with swift action.
This from a comment from Skinner-DU on the blog. I am laughing my head off at their idea of "100s of people" being impressive, whereas on FR there are thousands who REALLY care about our nation. The DUmmies just keep giving!

I would say this kind of raving is internet lunacy, except that I heard similar stuff on NYCs WBAI at 5PM today. The two hosts were quoting DEBKA as proof of a worldwide conspiracy led by the CIA and the Mossad. 9/11. Madrid, Bali, the school in Russia are all the product of a cabal of leaders and intelligence roups. The goal? To use the fear of terror to allow these governments to rule by decree and eliminate any and all rights.
They claim DEBKA's ravings are really Mossad disinformation, designed to add to the growing fear of terror. As nutty as anything on DU and going over the air in NYC live at PM drivetime.
To: LUV W
Sort of a combination of being incredibly tired last night plus the DUmmies keep obsessing over the same territory (Ohio vote fraud). Will try to get a DUFU up this AM.
