The poster used to be "SchoolTeacherPam".

I feel sorry for the students she teaches. I hope she doesn't use such language in the classroom.

Warning - graphic language

The rarified intellectual atmosphere of the DUmpster sullied by cuss words? Say it ain't so, Joe!

"Looks like "Down with" was deleted and tombstoned"

I saw a thread there last week about the Porter Goss memo and of course they were all losing their minds about it. Someone said "maybe there are still a lot of people in the CIA who are loyal to Clinton, so I can see why they might want to clean them out."
They were immediately banned. Just another example of the tolerant left - to them diversity applies to everything but opinions.

I guess there are people who agree with me and wanting to go to Civil War.

Using all the weaponry available to us under Democrat gun-control policies -- rocks, sticks, slingshots....

"This one must be a joke right? Who in their right mind would use such a Kevin-Bacon-string-of-people for evidence of vote fraud?

Sorry, I should have been more clear that this was a parody.

They also have no sense of humor.

They have no analogy to Zot. Too bad, sometimes I would love to see some of the deleted comments.

"This famous thread started it all --- HERE IS THE ENEMY."

Amazing how often you see the words "student", "teacher", "professor" and "union" in that list.

I know just how he feels. I was the same way about Clinton. If you substituted Clinton for Bush, in DU's rant, that was me in 1993.

Guess what? I made it.

So Greenbriar..welcome to my world.

We'll have those camps up and running soon, and you and the rest of those mewling pukes you whine with, can get re-educated.

I am new here, and since you are a long time member you do have the right to ask for my credentials.

My particular rant is Viet Nam Vet wannabes.

I detest those who would steal honor from me and those who did what our country asked. see here

I am proud of my service; I will try to answer as best I can in this forum, honestly, without a lot of vanity, or false humility, though I’m not sure this is the right place to do this.

Because of my feelings about those who degenerate our service, I want the entire community to know me.

If I meet a trusted member of long standing who wishes proof, so I can be properly vetted for the community, I will be happy to oblige.

*gently*

I can not give you specific information here. I can be Googled, and though I am not particularly afraid of 7000 Macedonians in full battle array, I do not need 7 DUmmies on my front lawn waving signs, and shouting crap. It pi$$ed me off in the 60’s and makes me madder now (I know the difference between “mad” and angry).

The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Palm was awarded to my unit for a particular event or period of time. It is somewhat equivalent to a Presidential Unit or Valorous Unit Citation or a hybrid of both. Later the Vietnamese government awarded this to MACV and all assigned or attached units, and retroactively dated it. Most if not all men and women who served in RVN are authorized it.

The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Silver Star is an individual award. If there was an action of some significance that involved RVN units or had an impact on the populous and an individual was recognized by US forces, the government of RVN would sometimes award the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with a device denoting the equivalence of the US award. I was awarded a Silver Star as an “impact” award, and was awarded the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Silver Star the next day. Nice ceremony by the way. Impact awards were those given immediately after an action so a soldier would be recognized as soon as possible.

In my case, it was a couple of days after I got back from the hospital.

Later the Silver Star was upgraded, so I don’t list it on my profile. By regulation a soldier can not be awarded two valor awards for the same action, so it should have been rescinded. I still have the orders and citation for the SS, but I will not list it. I can not wear, or claim it, that would be doing what I hate most.

If I knew you personally, and had partaken of just enough intoxicants to become maudlin, I might tell you stories about the awards, but I’d have to have known you a long time and feel safe. It is merely sufficient to say they involved way too much blood and death.

Many of the other awards are for doing a good job under difficult circumstances, others are “I was there awards” awarded to everyone who participated in the party.

Military folks can “read” your chest and figure out what you’ve done or where you’ve been.

You can Google lots of places to explain them if interested.

I am particularly proud of the Combat Infantry Badge. It denotes membership in a fraternity of those of us who faced the enemy eye to eye, or in many cases “hand to gland”.

This award is probably the most “stolen” award or device with the exception of the DSC/Navy Cross/Air Force Cross.

I am not fond of people who do not know the difference between a butt stroke and a butt wipe.

Too long a post, I know, but you asked.
