DUmmie FUnnies Halloween Edition ("What will you do if Kerry loses?")
Various DUmmies and Assorted MOrons | October 31, 2004 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 10/31/2004 5:17:21 PM PST by PJ-Comix

In this Halloween edition of the DUmmie FUnnies, the DUmmies are haunted by the prospect of Kerry losing the election this Tuesday. Somehow, in this THREAD, they don’t sound like a very confident bunch despite a few vain attempts at bluster. This edition will give you a taste of the medicine that the DUmmies will be swallowing this Tuesday. So Happy Halloween, DUmmies, and enjoy your treats for now for the big trick will be pulled on you this Tuesday. As usual, the DUmmie howlings are in Bolshevik Red while the tricks and treats provided by your humble correspondent are in the [brackets]:

What will you do if Kerry loses?

[Break out the champagne, run wild with glee through the streets, and desecrate a Kerry/Edwards sign with recycled tea-tea.]

I will probably be depressed to point of tears and make plans to move to Canada or Europe. Also drink a little to lessen the pain.

[May I recommend Wild Irish Rose, vintage 2004?]

Not gonna happen...

[….until November 2.]

They can only steal it if it is close...I am convinced of that. It will not be close. Kerry will get 200+ EVs and 51%+ pop vote

[And 200+ electoral votes will STILL leave Kerry a loser since you need 270 to win.]

He's not losing. Therefore, I don't have to think about it.

[Hmmm….Not thinking seems to be a dominant DUmmie characteristic.]

Let's not get overconfident, people. This thing could go either way. Plus, let's not forget how dirty and underhanded the Bushites are. Things could get nasty. The only factor that I could think of that will help Kerry is the student voters (18-24). They have cell phones and are polled. Most of them appear to be leaning towards Kerry. Let's hope they will help. Still all of us better watch what the Bushites do.

[One dirty trick that the lousy Bushites are sure to pull is to insist that only registered voters can cast a ballot.]

Relax. Bush is losing ground all over the place. Seniors. Muslim-and Arab-Americans. Cuban-Americans. Everyone who's lost job. True conservatives. Some of the military and more of the veterans.

[Also French, Germans, dogs, cats, and fruit bats. Bush is losing ground among all those groups.]

Moving to Nicaragua regardless

[The Sandinistas are back in power?]

Get drunk, sleep, get back to fighting the intolerant right. We're not going anywhere.

[Good. I need you to stick around for more immortalization in the DUmmie FUnnies.]

1.) Enlist in the revolutionary brigade... if we wimp out and there isn't one, then....

2.) Move my family to Italy. I like the sound of "ex-patriot" more and more these days.

[And I like the sound of “LEAVE” more and more these days.]

if he steals it again you better believe that the revolution will begin. I'd be on the front lines.

[First you better get a permission slip from mommy.]

Take Nov. 3rd off. Make a waterproof protest sign and take to the streets.

[Waterproof sign? What are you going to do? Cover it with a raincoat?]

Withdraw...from all news...including DU...until I have licked my wounds. In 1980 when Reagan beat Carter, it took me two years. When Dukakis lost to Bush, I withdrew for a year or so. After Gore, two years plus.

[Some would argue that you’re STILL withdrawn from reality.]

Try to go to sleep… Wake me in 4 years.

[Could we make that 40 years?]

* would have to cheat but if he did and somehow managed to stay in, we will move for sure. Living in eastern TN has been hard because of people we know. Their values are completely different than ours and has proven problematic.

[I imagine it would be problematic. Your neighbors probably don’t have nose rings and bathe more than once a month. Yes, they would seem to have different values than you.]

If Kerry loses...I will work harder. I will volunteer more. I will stay focused.

[And while you’re at it, could you also mow my lawn?]

3 double scotches on the rocks…

[…and a couple of hits on the crack pipe.]

If Bush manages to win this again, I have every confidence that before the end of the second term, he will do something, be caught at something that is impeachable, and so impeachable that even Republican Congressmen will not dare to not go forward with the impeacment, or if they do, their inaction will result in such hostility that they will lose many seats in the midterm elections. Enough from Democrats to revisit the impeachment.

[Hmm…. It sounds like you’re already had more than a couple of hits on the crack pipe.]

Scotland is paying people to come live there and start families.

[Except for families bearing usable teeth.]

He's gonna win. I dont have to worry about it anymore. I am comfortable now with the fact that John F Kerry will be the 44th President of the Unisted States of America.

[You are correct. Kerry will be President of the Unisted States of America while Bush will be President of the United States of America.]

DUmmies are nervous!

I get nauseous from anxiety
I also have had insomnia for the last two nights.
I may have to resort to xanax.

Count Me as panic-stricken as well. Four more years just can't happen.

If Bush wins It's up to us to make the next four years the worst four of his entire life. He'll wish he'd lost. So, either Kerry wins and we fend off Republican attacks for four (or eight) years, or Bush wins and we continue organizing, criticizing, creating powerful coalitions, and hosting mass demonstrations.

Yeah, I'm nervous...nervous and freaked out and nauseous

I get nauseous, too. And I have to take meds to sleep these days.

Yes, I'm Nervous..... Nervous that this election will be 'stolen. Can't fathom 4 more years of *. We'll be a third world country before those 4 years are up....

He will spend us/ war us into poverty. Other countries will not want to buy treasuries; it'll throw us into depression

Nervous as a whore in church. The bastards still have a couple days to pull off some weird s**t.

Just had my lexapro dosage doubled I've been freaking out, probably in no small part due to the election and the overwhelming helplessness I feel.

I think this website is nearly as beneficial as the medication, though. I am gonna need all of you guys this Tuesday.

we are not dealing with politics as usual here. These people are a criminal class who, I believe, will do ANYTHING to maintain their grasp on power.

I am nervous to see how things will play out because the GOP has become insanely desperate the last few days, but I am very reassured by all the things we have done to stop them already. We've challenged their cheating, we've uncovered their suppression plans, and we're ready for whatever they have to throw at us on Tuesday. THIS TIME, WE'RE READY. We aren't just going to back down and take it when they try to cheat. Look at how many attempts we've stopped already!

yes worried, very worried
The polls are all within their margin of error and so it is too close to call from there point of view.
I am hoping that there internal logic is flawed.
Since Bush's team will do anything to win, cheating is a real possibility. I hope we can catch and stop any criminal behavior.

If shrub wins this time, I don't think any Dem is going to support him at all, on anything! I'm afraid radicals on both sides might even start riots, and I don't want to see that in my country!

Only because of the fact that they managed to steal the election in 2000 - and the incumbant always has the power and $$ behind him.

ATTENTION FBI:

One thing we know: If Bush does not die before November 2, he DID steal the 2000 election just as we said - why? Because, according to records, all presidents ELECTED in years ending with 0 have died (from way back) or had terrible tragedies. So Tuesday we an hold our banners high when we say BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION. He was never elected.

Now if he dies, well, we were hood-winked! Oh well. LOL.

Hide and watch. News at 11 Wednesday?

That sounds like a plan to assassinate the president! Has it been turned over to the FBI?

The Unisted States of America? Is that the name of the new utopia the DUmmies are going to start when Bush wins?

DUmmies are nervous! (continued)

Every day of my life, election or not, I am as high strung as a closet full of Pommeranians that need to go potty. That is who I am. I forcing myself with all my will to be optimistic, and it must be working. I am not sick with worry as I was in 2000. There are too many pissed off people this time. And I have DU as a nice place to go when I do feel nervous.

Very. Very nervous.
It's not just the disenfranchisement of the newly registered and minority Dem voters.... it's the black boxes.
With the stroke of a key, all the votes can change sides.

If we had HONEST elections in this country, I have NO DOUBT IN MY MIND that Kerry would win by the biggest landslide in all American history. But we don't have honest elections, and it is by intentional design by people who are bought-off, or have no conscience.

I'm also afraid for the lives of the citizens of this country as the election results are announced: it already looks like (un)civil war.
This is a very very very dangerous time for our country, for our individual futures, and for the world.

You bet I'm nervous.

Hell yes- I'm a total wreck

I just can't get a sense of where this thing is headed- One minute I feel OK, the next I feel this dark cloud of doom. If I thought we had an honorable but inept opponent, I'd probably feel pretty good right now. But between my belief that they would do anything to win and are just total cheats and thieves and my lack of confidence in the intelligence of most voters, I'm nervous as hell.

I just want to win by a lot and get this over with before I get an ulcer. said before somewhere that there are (using a bit of a gross generalization) essentially four types of DUers

1. Blindly pessamistic DUers
2. Blindly optimistic DUers
3. Rationally skeptical DUers, who have some concerns over the outcome of the election, but for whom those concerns are tempered with (their best attempt at) reason, evidence, anlaysis, logic and thoughfullness
4. Rationally hopeful DUers, who feel a sense that this election will be ours, but for whom those feelings are tempered with (their best attempts at) reason, evidence, analysis, logic and thoughfullness.

I'm in the #3 group.
(you forgot group number five for challenged spellers)

Yeah ... I'm behind Door #3 as well.

It's a mistake to misunderestimate the depths of depravity and deceit these fascists will resort to.

As I've said before, there's a cancer in the American body politic. That cancer has metastacized. We're going to need more than the possible excision of a single prominent tumore on Tuesday, even if it's successful which is not something I find 'in the bag' at all.

HOLY CRAP I AM!!! Heart rate up, nails gone, shorts soiled, head aching..............
I am so f***********n nervous.

When I read the polls I get scared. When I read what people say about the numbers and lines to vote in their city I am comforted.

HORRIBLY
We had Bush by the B* till OBL showed up. The problem is NOONE can make ANY clear indication whether it hurts or helps BOTH candidates. Ted Koppel put it best last night. "Do not let a terrorist influence your vote" Plus Jeb and Glenda as bed partners, Neo Rep-Nazi voter confrontations in Ohio, artciles comming out about recounts, the touch screens, and the fact that EVERY talking head on EVERY network on EVERY program has said the SAME thing. There will be NO winner by Nov 3rd AM. Oh yea, and OBL.

I've had to up my klonopin dosage. Altered state of consciousness?

Up until last night I was feeling very hopeful and optimistic, but now I'm panic-stricken. I've had the ups and downs for months and months concerning this election.

I smell a theft coming. I hope my nose is wrong. I do have a cold, after all.

If the theft comes, you all know we can't let them get away with it

Klonopin TOO!

WOW! I take Klonopin TOO! Im gonna OD on it on Tues. LOL. Kerry is losing his grasp on Ohio which is NOOOOOOOT GOOOOOOOD. But Idaho, Minn, and Penn, seems locks. And he is ONLY stumping Ohio ONE more time! And going to Penn 2x! He should have doen Ohio on Sunday AND Monday.

One of the really SAD things is that two of those posters at DU used to be friends of mine. They went to Boston for the Convention as representatives from my State. They've threatened to move to Canada if Kerry doesn't win. They think that ALL tree-huggers HAVE to be Democrats. (I am a tree-hugger, I am NOT a Democrat.) And vegetarians. (Nope.) They are both stressed out so badly they're mixing their prescription meds with "liquid stress-reducers." A dangerous combination.

I wonder how many of the depressed DUs will actually OD on something after the Bush landslide.

IF Kerry won, I'd just get more involved with the Republican Party and do what I could to help them elect more Republicans to the State and Federal Legislatures. I'd be on an email-writing campaign to be sure my representatives know how I feel and what I want. And I'd have the President's email address on "speed-compose" (I already do have that handy as I use it quite often).

I don't understand why they (the DUs and Dims) can't have the same attitude. THEY are their worst enemy -- they've internalized this election process to an unhealthy degree.

I heard that the Dims won't challenge percentages larger than the "margin." Is that true?

You probably do, you worthless DUpe. You probably meant to say expatriate, although you weren't too far off the mark with your Freudian slip. In your case, I think we'd best call you a non-patriot.

Take Nov. 3rd off. Make a waterproof protest sign and take to the streets.

This DUmmie must be in Seattle if he needs a waterproof protest sign. I wonder if I could open my office and window and hurl a water balloon on him? I think I could throw as far as the federal building, which is one of the places they plan to congregate to mourn their losses.
