If the head is twisted upward or downward, or moved to the left or right, the shadows would change position and configuration according to the changing profile of the subject relative to the sun.
Easy to test that by using a flashlight in a stationary position and revolving an object below the flashlight and watching the changing shadow positions and configurations.
Yes, the shadow would move to the left if the subject moved or tilted his head to the left and down, illustrated by the shadow of the blonde guy's head in the photo.
Looks like a real photo to me. Could be wrong, of course.
WHAT is the democrats problem? Can't they nominate someone who is not psychotic? Kerry may turn out to be more delusional than Gore, if that is possible.

Lt(jg) Kerry got command of PCF94 because Lt. Peck was wounded and (along with Gunners Mate Alston) medivac-ed out. It'd be pretty shallow if JF'nK went around getting his pics taken with the random crews of the squadron before he actually got a boat.

Several weeks ago I went looking for info on the Swift Boats and found a site that listed the Boats by number, and their crews by timeline. This morning I went back to verify the Alston time lines, and guess what? The server is TOAST. Anybody know if the crew rosters are available anywhere else?
No I don't think this photo is doctored.... but look at the circumstances of the picture.
You have Alston standing there in his full uniform (BDU's), while the rest of the crew is in a very relaxed state of dress.
To me it looks like the swift boat crew just came back from patrol, saw their friend Alston on the dock and said "hey, let's get a picture Alston."That is along the lines of what I was thinking about the coincidence of Alston being in that pic.
However this dilemma might get resolved, I hope someone can point me to it. Very interesting.
