I'm at the core of things too. You see, I've been a good friend of Badjoe. I confided in many 'behind the scenes' issues with Badjoe, as a friend and confidant. Friendship and trust is a two way street. I thought I was talking to a friend, with Badjoe, in confidence.

Whatever is said in the next couple of weeks, by those whose sole desire is to destroy this forum, the moderators were only initiated to relieve the immense pressure Jim has had running this forum.

I love Badjoe, he is like a father and brother and son to me. You all know me. I've been here, been posting since before the 2000 election, and have been a vital part of the fundraisers. Now, because of the tension, I've laid low. I am not gone, I’m here and a moderator. Because Jim thought I'd make a good addition to the moderation team, not necessarily for my political savvy, but for my people skills and my ability to relate to all sorts of people, I was asked to be a moderator. And I am. But, because the friction, I've changed my name and am posting as someone else.

The charges of nazi-moderators is unwarranted. There are no rogue moderators, we don't willy-nilly ban, and we don't gang up on some posters. Jim sees it all. If a poster is in question, there might be a discussion about posts and their history, but we have never banned long timers without Jim's knowledge.

All decisions (except newbies) made by a moderator are discussed between us. And, Jim reviews all our decisions on a daily basis, including bans and nukes.

We get paid nothing for this job. It's purely a love for Free Republic that we all continue to be moderators.

Your statement is not completely true.

There is/was bias against some posters. That is/was inordinately clear.

I don't care if your in the school yard or oval office, people have biases and they will use them against those that disagree or have a different point of view, *especially* in a political environment....

So please, lets not play stupid.....
