If you havn't noticed, the moderators have been moving anti-"War on Drugs" postings to the Smokey Backroom almost immediately. That's unfortunate, as JimRob himself once posted a lengthy comment about the unconstitutionality of the federal component of the WOD.
Sometimes I wonder if FR is beginning to morph from a truly conservative website to a wholly-owned subsidiary of the RNC.

My question is what has the RNC became a wholly owned subsidiary of?

Therein lies the reason that WOD threads end up in the backroom.
Libertylady is talking about protecting our freedom and our Constitution, even mentioning the Patriot Act 1 & 2, and you jump right into the WOD.
It's in the backroom because there's more to the Constitution than your right to toke up. Maybe now those issues will get more prominent attention.

the moderators have been moving anti-"War on Drugs" postingsLet me do a Boolean logic transformation on this phrase:
anti-"War On Drugs" ==> "pro-drugs"

I am opposed to many aspects of the WOD, especially those law enforcement tactics that trample on the Bill of Rights. However, I am not in favor of legalizing marijuana or any other drug that is now illegal. Legalizing drugs is NOT a goal of FR. Eventually I will set up a special forum in the sidebar for the drug war threads. At the moment they can go to the Smokey Backroom Forum.

Sometimes I wonder if FR is beginning to morph from a truly conservative website to a wholly-owned subsidiary of the RNC.Ever since GW took office, FR has gone straight down hill. It is party line all the way. Just threw convervatism out the window. If anyone criticises GW for his big government expansion and trashing of the constitution, they are told to go to DU with the other socialists and lefties. Anyone who doesn't parrot the party line is sent packing. Sad.

Maybe the WOD issue is a 10 in your book, but to make that your banner in the name of the Constitution rates about a 1 or 2 on a scale of 100. There are far more important issues not connected to vice of importance I think.
I would think mostly only illegal-drug-users would want to talk over and over again about this legalizing drugs issue.
There is more to life than illegal drugs or finding a way to use them in while dragging the Constitution over that issue.
I find that offensive just as that so-called-art where a crucifix was placed in urine was.

If you havn't noticed, the moderators have been moving anti-"War on Drugs" postings to the Smokey Backroom almost immediately.That's not right. They should be summarily tossed into the Dirty Dumpster--not moved into the Smokey Backroom.
I wager that a thread that argued the good and bad of asset forfeiture laws would likely survive intact in the front room. But the WOD threads are only nominally about the Constitution. They are really quite transparent cheerleading exercises in seeking to make dope easily and readily available.

I have not read through this whole thread, but the huge number of posts on the WOD would warrent this. Why would JimRob want FR to be seen as a drug forum?
