Well, let's see. We kicked out the anti-Semites, the racists, the bigots, the tin-foil hat conspiracy nuts, the America did it crowd, the cowardly anti-war America haters, the America got what she deserves crowd, the DU disruptors, the perverts, the religion bashers, the Bush is a Nazi crowd, the Bush did it crowd, the it's all about oil crowd, the I'd rather support Clintonites crowd, the foul mouthed bashers, the smash mouth bashers, the just can't seem to get along with anyone crowd, the I hate everyone crowd, the naysayers, the doom and gloom sky is falling crowd, the woe is me we're all doomed crowd, etc, etc, etc.

We supported the GOP and we kicked Democrat butt. We helped establish Republican control of both houses of Congress along side a Republican President for one of the very few times in modern history. We helped set the stage to begin replacing liberal activist judges with conservative judges. We helped block the liberal democrats who have controlled government for most of the last seventy years and we've set them back thirty years and maybe longer. And that's not to mention establishing Republican control in many state and local governments, some for the first time in history.

Now, I don't know if we went far enough in all cases, but I feel we did a pretty damned good job, and I believe we will continue doing a pretty damned good job.

Congratulations to all who made this historical event possible!

And for those of you who feel the people who got kicked off FR can do a better job, well, you are always free to go to the libertypost or libertyforum websites mentioned above and join the America hating rabble.

Thank you all very much and long live our Free Republic!

God bless America!

Thanks for leaving this thread up, Jim. I love the 'give and take' and your enthusiasm. I also like being associated with an 800-pound gorilla.

We supported the GOP and we kicked Democrat butt.

Yes we did.

And now we have given Bush the power to grow the size and power of the Federal Government beyond what it has ever been and he will use that power. Big Brother just got bigger and more powerful.

God bless America!

I hope he does, we need all the help we can get.

Bump and SALUTE to Post 35!!

:o)

Thanks for having a site where decent good honest hard working people can come, debate, and yes HORRORS OF ALL HORRORS....SUPPORT our President and his administration. Who happen to be doing a heck of a job.

The problem is, it froths people that he is. They can't stand success.

We are better off without all the people you mentioned in your post coming here if thats how they feel. There is way less hate and arguing. More friendly debate and exchange of information. Thats a good thing..and we enjoy it.

Thanks for doing such a great job Jim.

God Bless America.. God Bless President Bush and his administration, and lastly but certainly not least.. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!

FRegards, Vets

Give it to 'em Jim. There's PLENTY of dissent here, just not the super-lunes from either side. FreeRepublic still includes about 90+% of American thought.

I lurked on FR for several years before lightly jumping in 2 years ago. In concept, there is nothing like FR on the planet, and I have you to thank. I am always amazed at the quality of the analysis, depth of conviction and plain fun that freepers are masters at. I can't get through a session of reading posts without "rolling on the floor" and laughing constantly. If Jay Leno were to jump in, he'd barely qualify as average! Thank you for the great service you're doing for your country.

And we did it in spite of the fact that we still have some naive, unsophisticated, bull-headed posters here who would rather cut their noses off to spite their faces (withold their vote or vote third party) if Mr./Ms. Perfection isn't running for office.

Their narrow ?thinking? prevents them from being able to see the big picture, and/or know what "setting the stage" must entail.

As the politically smart, street-fighter DemocRATS know, INCREMENTALISM WORKS EVERY TIME IT'S TRIED

This forum would not be attacked unless it was effectively standing in the way of KOOKS / cynical opportunists and naive, single-issue voters.

God bless America, and God bless you, Jim, for all you have done and all you're trying to do for the ultimate good of our country. Together --- WE will accomplish much and wake up more and more Sheeple/FROGS in the process!

EAGLES UP! For FREEDOM, the CONSTITUTION and THE RULE OF LAW that undergirds it!!!!

Thank you for making this forum available to so many people who love debate and love supporting our military. And thank you for not banning me for being a pain in the butt and saying some awful things to you or about you when I believed you were wrong about something. Thank you for always being fair to me even though I was sometimes misguided and and held tightly to beliefs that were later proven to be wrong. And thanks for allowing me to express my opinions when we were in honest disagreement. I really do wish I could meet you someday. Anyone who spends their fridays on a streetcorner has my respect! Screw those who think you don't take your fair share of abuse! LOL!

Your above #35 summed and nailed it.

It reminds one what Mark Twain stated regarding the "public" understanding of the Bible:

"It ain't the parts that folks don't understand that bothers them....it's the parts they do understand"....

Sort of akin to why democRATS lost the "Real-Deal American Patriotic Vote"...facts and reality always trump leftist nit-wittery!

BUMP. Bravo. I like the idea of being able to get a word in without having to prove that I go to the "right" church. I like it the way it is in that regard and not having to put up with the conspiracy theory outer edges. I don't know who made the rule that I have to be an evangelical preacher in order to be conservative or Christian for that matter.

Other than that I think what it boils down to is this: the policies on FR are compelling people to really discuss things. The bigots, tatrum throwers, flamers, et al lack ideas. They don't need to be here.

It reminds me of the caller on the Sean Hanity radio show the other day... Sean kept asking him "what do you believe in" and he kept spouting garbage and ultimately said something about the proletariat. Sean kept silencing him. Then asking again... the democrat could not give a serious answer.

I like the forum the way it is, albeit I like some heated debates like the ones that we used to have. The best ones were the firecrackers, but with substance. With that in mind though, I think the state of the nation has a big influence more than anything. If I say "I propose we kill the terrorists" there isn't going to be a real debate about it. It will go down to flaming which is better, rockets or bombs.

In an overall sense, since taking the WH, the difference between now and what people call the 'glory days' is that if we complain too loud now "someone" listens and does something hence leaving no more complaint. Its now a different role. We are not the opposition anymore, so as a whole we should discuss or come up with some substantive ideas...

If FR (or Republicans in general) tries to stick to the role of flaming and opposition instead of leading and innovating it will eventually turn the nation off.

" . . We kicked out . . the tin-foil hat conspiracy nuts . ."

Conspiracy theories are a slippery slope for the credibility of conservatives, as one nationally prominent conservative dramatically demonstrated recently in this series of published articles, a series he commenced without carefully checking out the alleged facts first, instead of later as he belatedly did.

Personally, I have found Mr. Robinson to be extremely fair. I believe the majority on FR are intelligent individuals with some interesting things to say.

A big thank you to Jim Robinson for maintaining this outlet for free speech.

God Bless America, and God Bless President Bush
