President Donald Trump has been praised after it was revealed woke American professors are being poached by Canadian universities, including an academic who teaches transgender philosophy.
California State University philosophy professor, Talia Mae Bettcher, who is transgender, is among the many American-based educators who have packed their bags and headed north to Canada to become a part of the $541 million research funding project.
'I knew I had to leave,' Bettcher, who is a native Canadian but taught in Los Angeles, told The University of Waterloo, her new home.
'As a green card-holding trans-woman and outspoken academic in an area of study that the Trump Regime deems "ideological," it just didn’t feel safe anymore. My family in Canada were very worried. I was planning to return to Canada, leaving my job and my entire life behind.'
At the university, Bettcher will oversee PhD students who are studying transgender philosophy. She will also receive funding from the Canadian government to continue her research into gender-based and transphobic violence.
Canada has also poached Harvard Medical School's Peter Caravan and University of Washington biostatistics professor Jon Wakefield, among 61 other academics from around the world.
Caravan, a radiology professor, will be joining The University of British Columbia (UBC) in July 2027. Caravan, who is also a native Canadian, will continue to research new medicines for diseases to give personalized treatment plans to patients, he told UBC.
Wakefield will also be joining UBC this September, where he will continue to study geography and inequality and how it shapes health in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Wakefield told CTV News that Canada was a better place to study his niche, as the country has a more 'positive and moralistic attitude toward these things.'

What’s worse is the $541 million research funding grant.
That’s money that should be going to real research in STEM fields (and grants for STEM research are harder and harder to get, so say the Biomedical Engineering professors I know).

Oh no. Whatever will we do without doctor tranny groomers? I am sure rigorous academic standards exist for that one. And so many job opportunities for graduates.
Wipe out 95% of government and 95% of college programs and the world would be a better place.
Transgender philosophy study sounds pretty wothless to me, but then again there many things in today’s philosophies that seem worthless as a study subject.

USA doesn’t need to be teaching this dystopic “transgender” krap. To anyone.
USA doesn’t need to be teaching it in public universities.
USA taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay for it, either.
