Golly, was the music that bad?
WHY???????
And why is it exactly the Police should be respected?? The Police literally are their Own Enemy, any backlash is fully deserved.
Shocking!
You think football coaches can get irate? Wait until a band director has practiced all week with the band members and the “authorities” will not let them perform. They can get brutal!
And the band played on.......
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Alabama.”
What’s really weird is that Alabama lives, breathes, sleeps and eats FOOTBALL...
What was the tune they were playing?
LOL! This country has gone over the edge.
(and urged ‘everyone not to jump to conclusions.’)
Gonna need a mat for that.
And misspell ‘lose’ too.
Let’s not gove Simon Cowell a taser.
When I was attending Glendale High School in California (I was the band president.), our football team played a Pasadena team which had a very talented band. After the game, the Pasadena band would play a concert in our stadium until the light went out. They would finish the last song in the dark.
These pigs are taking the wrong approach to getting respect. Everyone of them should be fired.
Even if there is some sound ordinance curfew for the neighborhood, which may well be the case, this was handled improperly. Kind of strange otherwise for the cops to be on hand so soon. I wonder if someone in the neighborhood lodged a complaint.
The police wanted everyone to start leaving that area, sincevthe game was over. They asked the two band directors to stop playing, so crowds would be more likely to disperse.
The first band director quickly complied, telling his band to stop playing and prepare to go.
The second band director, for his own reasons, refused to comply, telling his band to keep going strong. Police had to take control, then this idiot began interfering, to the point they had to taze him just to stop the nonsense.
His ego got in the way of his logic.
Poor example of leadership, of cooperation with police in front of all these teens.
Alabama has a law that music has to stop after a football game ends?
I'm going to work on the idea that the stadium is supposed to be cleared within a timeframe after the game is over, and the story does not go into that; who decided how long after the game is over is the stadium supposed to be empty, and why.
I also didn't see whether this was a dedicated stadium next to the high school, or someplace like Hanson Field in Chicago, which was used by many schools across the area because not every high school has its own football field.
Based on what is actually written in the story, staying later to play band music all seems harmless. But it reads one-sided.
Its Alabama. Full.stop. 😏
