According to a survey by Statista Consumer Insights, coffee drinkers in the U.S. rarely stick to just one cup a day. Among those drinking coffee daily, almost 80 percent drank two or more cups while at home on a weekday.
More than half consumed three or more cups on average on such a day. While on the go, U.S. coffee drinkers hold back a little more, with just 20 percent consuming take-away coffee daily and another 24 percent doing so several times a week.
More than half of respondents consume coffee to go only once a week or less often, with 13 percent between the ages of 18 and 74 even saying the never did so.
However, in the latest installment of another Statista survey, only 57 percent of Americans listed coffee as a beverage they regularly consumed.
America's favorite type of coffee is good old drip coffee, with 36 percent saying it was their favorite, followed by 11 percent who prefer cappuccino and 10 percent who root for iced coffees. Instant coffee was not far behind at 9 percent, however. 51 percent of American adults agreed with the statement “coffee is pure pleasure to me”.
3 or 4 pints a day. It is my preferred drink.

Lately I’ve gone from one to two cups. One just isn’t doing the job anymore. 😏
I drink 0 cups.
You must not cook or bake. A cup equals 8 ounces, so you drink 4 cups in a morning.
I cook and bake a lot. I’ve heard a “cup” of coffee defined by different amounts. Sometimes 5 oz sometimes 6 oz. The article didn’t define their definition of a “cup” of coffee. That’s why I posted as I did.☺
I worked for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and in the break room they had an industrial grade Keurig that was hooked up to the filtered water line. We had about 28 different K-cups brands and our own blends. Working a 12 hr shift, I had quite a choice to drink on my breaks. None of those K-cups hit the spot. I still like my Kitchen Aid drip coffee maker, while my wife uses the Keurig. My years in the Navy made me a full bodied coffee drinker—none of that neutered stuff.
I always have a 16 oz cup of coffee with breakfast and dinner.
Only to go version off coffee consumed anymore here is the 99 cent or less brand.
I drink 3 20 Oz. Mugs of High test every day. That’s enough for me.
3-5 large mugs for me.
I’ve never been a fand of the Keurig. I still use my 10.00 Mr. Coffee I purchased in 2007 from Big Lots. I also make very, very strong coffee, something a Keurig can’t do. Also, the Keurigs can be expensive and don’t last long.
Cafe Lavazza out of a 4 cup Bialetti to start the day. Illy espresso grind if I’m feeling like putting on the Ritz. Cafe Bustelo if I’m in the mood for something more industrial grade. I can sleep when I’m dead.
When I get up in the morning I am awake.
Then, I have two cups of alert and oriented.
Then my day can start.
You are speaking my language. If you get a chance, try Caffè Motta Intenso and Caffè Vergnano. Nectar of the gods.
I don’t like the Kuerig stuff either. I have 3 10 oz cups each morning from a Mr. Coffee. I like the “German” coffees, like Jacobs or Tchibo. Mild, smooth, but very aromatic. With half n half. I’m also content with good old Maxwell House.
I first drank it reluctantly, being invited to a Brasilian couple's house and offered a brew from their home town.
At 8PM.
Anyways after most of my life spent hand in hand with Latinas, yeah.
GIMME...
I’m an 8-10 cup per day coffee addict.
My reaction also.
Percolator coffee for me, pls.
