“If we had opened the Pit, and demons crawled out, I wonder how would we know ?”
Well, most still don’t realize that it happened already. Anyone who can look at Nancy and not realize this, I have no explanation for.
Most excellent.
I don't know how it would affect other countries but...
So basically how Hilary smells?
there would be a stench of boiled cabbage, urine, and farts.

you mean like Hillary smells?
We use to ask the teacher if the universe is expanding,
—
The Universe is expanding true, but its the space between objects that is expanding; however, everything in the Universe is moving toward the Great Attractor. We cannot see it because whatever it is is hidden by huge dust cloud between us and it.
The Higgs boson was confirmed at CERN in 2014 and we’re still here so I think the hysteria over tiny black holes is overdone. The “god particle” name was actually coined by a physicist as a joke just to tweak the lay public’s interest. The real reason it is so important is that it is responsible for giving mass to other particles which slowed them to less than the speed of light, made nuclear and chemical processes possible, and resulted in planets and biology and humans.
Although the matter and energy we know and love condensed from the symmetry breaking event known as the “big bang” what is truly eternal is the behavior of what we model mathematically as the quantum field wave function Psi. There may have been and infinite number of universes before and after ours but we’ll always have Psi, kid.
If it’s open now, can they send Kamala back? :)
Enough mental masturbation... Now teach me about options on Tesla... lol
“The Universe is expanding true, but its the space between objects that is expanding;”
Cumulatively, that requires expanding beyond its boundaries, whatever that is, according to the theory.
The Great Attractor just pertains to our little corner of the universe.
Seems I'm behind. The last I heard the physicists with their white board calculations determined that the basketball sized Big Bang initially exploded with just Hydrogen and Helium. Then for some unknown reason the other elements appeared through millions of years. Maybe I missed their math for those elements.
Personally, I tend towards intelligent design by a being or beings that we can't nor ever will fathom. They put the physics in place and threw out the dice to see what develops. We may be an anomaly. But then as Brad Pitt said in the movie AD ASTRA, "We're not alone. We have each other". Words to live by.
The “portal of hell” that has been trampled by CERN is the one where taxpayers money is confiscated and used as a vehicle to long-term financial security for scientists & engineers...
I don't believe time is another dimension as most say. I believe it is a human construct. Yes, I know about long space journeys in relation to the Earth, and about the event horizon around black holes. Give me all the math you want and I'll still say those are calculations on a white board and that humanity made up time to deal with its ever changing existence.
“The “god particle” name was actually coined by a physicist as a joke just to tweak the lay public’s interest.”
This is true. I read somewhere they actual technicians working at CERN called it the “champagne bottle particle”, presumable based on how they’d celebrate when they found it.

No, you’re thinking of something else - EVERYTHING in the Universe - galactic mega-clusters, etc - we know is moving toward it what ever it actual is. Its at least one million times more massive than our galaxy.
The Universe has no known boundaries.
Eternity is a concept that I cannot grasp. The idea of eternity disturbs me almost as much as the idea of Hell. The concept of eternal past I cannot even begin to imagine.
I like cosmology and its fun to contemplate what actually is instead of the artificial crap we have lately created. Tesla cars suck. Buy Nvidia instead since they put in an offer for the ARM Group. Intel is going down.
The universe is likley infinite in size, so there are no boundaries around it.
The universe is sort of like taking an infinitly large number and doubling it. It’s still infinity, even if it is now bigger.
Many physicist would agree with you. In all of our equations time is reversable.
Our concept of time might just be how we perceive the operation of the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
