I agree. We are already seeing the curve flattening. We should follow Sweden and open up everything with a few restrictions (New York City is an exception).
End the social distancing constraints on the 30th.
Get back to work starting Monday, May 4th.

This is the short answer.
Trump will defer to the governors to make their own state’s decisions, but I believe that in less than two weeks Trump will pivot toward recommending partial end to shut-downs and quarantines... or a phased reopening of certain businesses, with restrictions.
This’ll stir everyone here up again.
I think Trump will demand a partial re-opening. The media will flip out and make sure it’s known that any relapse of outbreak will be blood on Trump’s hands.

While I’d like to see a big grand opening day it is probably more practical and wise to to a gradual thing.
I’m not sure what that would look like because I’m not sure what the feds are actually doing besides declaring a state of emergency. Federal parks? Air travel? I am unclear on that.
Not unless Birx and Fauci sign off on it. In any case, the governors will ignore Trump unless he is backed by Birx/Fauci.

Trump will recommend that restrictions be lifted at a future date. At that time governors and mayors will either ease restrictions or not.
Setting the stage for half of the country living in restricted states and the other half in free states. The left will want to build a wall to keep its residents leaving for free states.
This is at the bottom of the slippery slope we are on.
You will probably see red states open up first while blue states and certain GOP governors like DeWine continuing to lock up their states.

Absolutely. If the disease has an incubation period of two weeks keeping people home for three weeks should end it. Also if we know HCQ works if it flares up again we just take a few pills.
No, the reality on the ground is we cannot restart unless the HCQ protocol works and or a vaccine is available. There is the issue of sending those with Antibodies back to work, however, we should understand the re-infection possibility as well.
