Trump claims Democrats 'can't impeach' him

President Donald Trump on Monday berated calls for his impeachment ahead of House Democrats’ conference call to discuss the Mueller report, which makes damaging revelations about the president but has left many liberal lawmakers unconvinced that they should try to eject Trump from office.

“Only high crimes and misdemeanors can lead to impeachment. There were no crimes by me (No Collusion, No Obstruction), so you can’t impeach,” Trump said in a tweet. “It was the Democrats that committed the crimes, not your Republican President! Tables are finally turning on the Witch Hunt!”

Despite Trump's claim, Democrats could still move forward with an impeachment effort, which is a political process, not a law enforcement one.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s 448-page report details findings of the 22-month investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, but did not find sufficient evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.

The report, however, also showed at least 10 instances where Trump may have obstructed justice, and Mueller ultimately did not reach a conclusion on whether the president committed a crime. Attorney General William Barr said in a letter to Congress last month that he would not pursue charges since it was clear it was not Trump’s “intent” to obstruct Mueller’s investigation, a call that has garnered fierce backlash from Democrats, claiming the nation’s top law enforcement officer was attempting to protect the president.

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE-—Bill Clinton gets impeached

Only recently, Monica Lewinsky came clean and made clear that a sitting President, Bill Clinton, suborned perjury from her.
An impeachable offense, for which the penalty is loss of his law license.

All of Clinton’s crimes happened while he was a sitting president:
the 47 Oral Office visits from Monica; subornation of perjury, lying under oath, hush money, etc etc etc.

Clinton lied under oath about suborning Monica.
Five of the charges against him were for obsruction of justice.

MORE EGREGIOUSLY.....Clinton even went so far as to have Lewinsky give Linda Tripp written instructions,
coaching Linda on how to properly perjure herself in the Willey matter. (Linda didnt buy it.)

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON: Bill’s intimate pal, Vernon Jordan, arranged a $40,000-per-year cushy government job for Lewinsky shortly
after she signed ......but before she filed...... a falsified affidavit saying she had NOT had sex with the president.

As insurance, Clinton had another pal, his Ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson,
personally visit Lewinsky at the Watergate to offer her a government job to shut her up.

AND THIS David Schippers was asked by his friend, Congressman Henry Hyde, to be Chief Investigative Counsel
for the US House Judiciary Committee. Schippers, a lifelong Democrat, accepted and took the job in April 1998.

The Hyde Committee was holding an inquiry on whether Clinton had committed impeachable offences in his handling
of the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit..... during which Clinton committed perjury regarding his affair with
Monica Lewinsky. The committee in December 1998 voted to impeach Clinton........a decision supported by Schippers.

On December 10, 1998, Schippers said to the committee:
“The President, then,
<><> has lied under oath in a civil deposition,
<><> he lied under oath in a criminal grand jury.
<><> he lied to the people,
<><> he lied to his Cabinet,
<><> he lied to his top aides,

“And now he’s lied under oath to the Congress of the United States.There’s no one left to lie to.”

Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives
on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228–206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221–212 vote).

The Senate voted not to remove the impeached president.

I loved the way Trump avoided eye contact with the Halfrican.

Looking back, I’m sure Trump had knowledge of what Obama and his cohorts were up to.

And now it’s just a question of time before the guns of Justice are trained in the opposite direction.

Obama and Michael have been pretty quiet since the Mueller Report came out. Poor Boobamba — more sleepless nights worried about that bad, bad, boogy man who is coming after him.
