At a political rally in Alabama, President Donald Trump encouraged American football fans to “leave the stadium” when they see “those people” taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem. The predominately white crowd chanted “U-S-A” in affirmation, and Trump urged NFL owners to “Get that son of a bitch off the field” for “disrespecting” the flag.
Again, we see that President Trump is stoking white prejudice and fears to position himself as the heavy-handed authoritarian who can reclaim order - even in the NFL. Trump threw down the gauntlet and the NFL needs to decide: is it on the side of their players and employees or are they selling a fantasy in football about equality and progress in America?
What Trump and many NFL owners want fans to believe is that the players, many of whom are Black, are not impacted by the hostile political and racial climate of the United States. Three weeks into the football season and the NFL is still silent about the blacklisting of Colin Kaepernick for his protest rather than his play. This silence is deafening at a time when NFL players are requesting a month dedicated to activism and social justice.....

These media clowns are obsessed with race. “Again, we see that President Trump is stoking white prejudice ...” Trump mentioned nothing about race. I, like most people, made my living by working not playing a game. That was my white privilege. These millionaires have been pampered all through school. These low IQ players will not be moving to other countries like Cuba because they know the truth but want to go along with this charade. The media created this conflict by portraying thugs killed by police as innocent victims. Where are the feminists? At least 50% of the players should be women.

Will the NFL stand up to the racist Kolored Kulture Klub and affirm the dignity of the USA, its anthem, and flag?
Trump is a Magician. There is no downside for him here. Respect your country or lose a significant portion of your fan base. Further, the NFL is like a colony of small businesses, think OPEC, as soon as one team caves the rest will follow because the economics ultimately control.
Once again he demonstrates that he is the leader of the USA!
Actually, the owners can and should tell these morons that they can't even tweet or post anything political on their own time. The job of these players for their teams is to put as many asses in seats and eye balls on screens as possible. If they are out there pissing a bunch of people off through tweets, etc., they are not doing the job for which they were hired. There is no First Amendment protection for those activities.

I know a lot of us are “woke” to the spineless NFL and the treasonous players. We have responded accordingly. Many Americans aren’t paying attention, or just don’t care enough to boycott the NFL. You’re right....President Trump just shoved it in their faces. The media will unwittingly contribute because they’ll be badmouthing Trump about this. As usual, it will backfire on them.
