The FBI has arrested a man accused of sending Dallas reporter Kurt Eichenwald a tweet that triggered an epileptic seizure.
The agency announced that John Rayne Rivello, 29, of Salisbury, Md., was arrested Friday morning in Maryland on a cyberstalking charge.
Eichenwald tweeted that the man who "assaulted" him also is expected to be indicted by the Dallas district attorney on different charges in the next few days.
Eichenwald's attorney, Steven Liberman, told Newsweek that "What Mr. Rivello did with his Twitter message was no different from someone sending a bomb in the mail or sending an envelope filled with anthrax spores."

I can’t wait for the trial when the defense hooks up Eichenberg to an EEG and then shows him the video.
A win-win situation.
Well, let’s see...
If I knew he was epileptic, and I told him that he deserves to have a seizure, and then I sent him a link to Killer Japanese Seizure Robots, and he viewed the link and then suffered a seizure as a result, yes, I could be guilty.
It seems like a stupid and dangerous thing to do.
Is it any wonder that Newzweak is such trash?
So he can be stupid enough to click on a link with “seizurerobots” in the URL, and you think I would be at fault?
Just no.
This is crazy. How can a tweet cause a seizure?
I don’t believe it at all.
Then anyone could be guilty, accidentally or on purpose at any time for just about any thing someone chooses to whine to the cops about.
The only proof he’s gonna have is he said.
The only evidence of a seizure is his say so.
He was involved in supposedly rescuing a homosexual boy, but it’s a real shady deal.
So who was more stupid, the guy who clicked the link that said “seizurerobots”, or the guy who sent the link that caused and epileptic to have a seizure, who then filed criminal charges?
Who do you think was more stupid?
Here, lets change the scenario a bit.
You have a daughter, she’s 16, and she’s an epileptic.
There is a boy who wants to date her, but she turns him down.
The boy is mad, wants some revenge, knows she’s a epileptic, sends her a link to seizure robots, she clicks it, suffers a seizure and dies.
What do you do, dad?
Do you say she deserved it because she turned him down?
Did she deserve it because she was stupid enough to click the link?
Did she deserve it because she was liberal?
What do you do, dad?
Then he can testify to it under oath, and a jury can believe him or not.

A light strobes at a certain frequency (2/second?) can cause seizures even in people without a history of seizures.
There was an animated Japanese series some years ago that was causing kids watching it to have seizures.
So millions of liberals can now claim they’re being assaulted by Trump every time he Tweets and sends them into “snowflake shock”.
I’m surprised those little blinking adds on the bottom of apps haven’t done this to some people already.
And then, when someone decides to take offense at something you posted online, make up claims about it harming them...
This is bullcrap. It’s about the victim class playing at being victim.
It’s about concern trolls duping the weak.
The tweet had an animated GIF file that strobed pasted into it. It launched as soon as he read it. There was no way for him to avoid it.
FWIW, IIRC, this nutty leftist was on Ticker Carlson a while back and acted spastic and waved around a binder and would not answer questions. Total freak.
If I am allergic to peanuts, I will keep my distance and keep away from potential problems.
If flashing lights mess me up, I will keep away from potential flashing sources - - - like electronic video screens!!!!!
"Carlson pointed to one particular tweet in which Eichenwald wrote, I believe Trump was institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990, which is why he wont release medical records.
