Since there is no evidence she and the Kenyan 0bama were ever married, then getting married to Lolo before the divorce was not a problem.

Maybe she did an ‘unofficial’ one, and then later the ‘official one’?
because if she tried the ‘official’ one too soon, then they would have checked, and told her ‘no’?

I think back then people had to wait a year before divorce was final; then the march 16 1965 would fit the timeline.
