Maya Soetoro was born August 15, 1970. ...

In “Dreams”, page 53 - describing his 1971 trip from Indonesia to Hawaii ...

SHE REMINDED ME OF WHAT A GREAT TIME I’D HAD LIVING WITH GRAMPS AND TOOT JUST THE PREVIOUS SUMMER
______________________________________

The previous summer was the summer of Maya’s birth, August 1970. His grandparents were in Indonesia that summer. They arrived even as Ann went into labor, according to this story: http://teguhtimur.com/2008/11/16/mengenang-madelyn-dunham-nenek-barack-obama/

“Madelyn dan Stanley Dunham juga pernah mengunjungi Indonesia. Menurut cerita Maya Soetoro-Ng, kakek dan neneknya tiba di depan rumah mereka di Jakarta saat ibunya, Ann Dunham, yang sedang mengandung Maya tengah mengalami kontraksi. Lalu bersama mereka ke rumah sakit tempat Maya dilahirkan. Hari itu 14 Agustus 1970.”

Did they bring Barry back for the birth?

From the “lost child” article: (capitalization added)

“There is NO REGISTRY of children born and taken away from Kalaupapa. Most of the RELATED DOCUMENTS, including birth records, are IN THE HAWAII STATE ARCHIVES. But state law requires that 80 years pass before such information is made public. Thus, only records before 1931 are available.”

There was something written down in the archives, Abercrombie said.

If she married Lolo on March 5, 1964, then she married him before the divorce of her first husband was final. That happened on March 20, 1964, the way I read it. Even if not, then March 5, 1964 is the date of her divorce. See the last page: http://www.scribd.com/doc/18130289/Obama-1964-Divorce-Papers-13-Pages-Missing-Pg-11

Since there is no evidence she and the Kenyan 0bama were ever married, then getting married to Lolo before the divorce was not a problem.

Just hit the “ignore” button....

That’s what I do. It’s the only sane way. I saw on another website the other day on a thread about Zero (I copied some info on there, from FR)someone mentioning that they read over on FR and follow your comments here.

Brilliant post! Might as well place the entire translation here for the record...(there is no ‘he’ or ‘she’ in the language):

SKY clouds adorn the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific , in Punchbowl , Honolulu , Friday afternoon ( 14/11 ) .
Hundreds of people gathered in the main courtyard of the garden tomb of the hero was recalled Madelyn Lee Payne Dunham ‘s life who died 2 November 2008 midnight . Most of them are colleagues at the Bank of Hawaii Madelyn and close friends or people who never knew Madelyn . Madelyn was one of the first female banker at Bank of Hawaii . He joined the bank in 1960 and ten years later became one of the vice presidents .

Madelyn and her husband , Stanley Armour Dunham , raising U.S. president-elect Barack Obama at their home in an apartment at the intersection of Punahou and Beretania Street , and finance Obama’s education Punahou School between 1971 to 1979.

Barack and his sister Maya Soetoro - Ng did not attend the tribute to their grandmother . Both are just sending a written message read by the Bank of Hawaii CEO Al Landon .

” When Tutu (a term used for Madelyn Barack and Maya ) realize that the time is getting narrower , he requested that we do not drift in grief . No not afraid to face any storm that accompanied him during the 86 years of his life . We feel lucky to get to spend much time with Tutu . He spends more time raising us from the grandmother in general . And we feel lucky once close to him . We become stronger and wiser because of her . “

The family plans to hold an official funeral in December. Barack expected to be present in the activity .

It is not yet known when the funeral will be conducted .

Madelyn Dunham died just two days before Barack Obama came out as the winner in the presidential election . Since last few years Madelyn cancer . About two weeks before his death , a woman born in Peru , Kansas , October 26, 1922 has been dropped so that his ribs were broken. His health then reportedly critical .

Barack Obama could stop the campaign and return to Hawaii to see his grandmother . Barack Obama did not want the event to recur in 1995 . When it was , because it was so busy with his political career in Chicago , Obama did not have time to see her mother before her mother died. Obama returned to Hawaii a few days later to join Ann Dunham ‘s ashes sprinkled on the southern island of Oahu .

Bodies such as husband and their only child , Madelyn Dunham also cremated bodies . In an email sent a few days ago , Maya Soetoro said his grandmother ‘s ashes arrived in the presidential election , November 4. Maya put it on the table in apartments and organize photos Madelyn husband , children , grandchildren and great-grandchildren Madelyn ashes box around it .

Stanley Armour Dunham ‘s ashes were buried in the tomb of heroes Punchbowl . Stanley Dunham was a sergeant in the Second World War .

Respect for Madelyn yesterday afternoon held by Madelyn colleagues at the Bank of Hawaii . Maya sent a bouquet of pink flowers . Other wreaths sent by friends of the school Madelyn in Kansas , in 1940 ago . Photo Madelyn wood framed with brown and green lei is placed in front of the altar .

One friend Madelyn , Helen Osgood , who got the opportunity to express her memories about said Madelyn Madelyn is a leader and outstanding manager , as well as experts in their field .

” He did not tolerate any nonsense, “ Helen said , adding how Madelyn was so proud of her two grandchildren .

Helen and Madelyn last spoke by telephone on the day of the 86th anniversary of Madelyn , Oct. 26 .

” His last words to me were : talk to me later . “

Madelyn and Stanley Dunham also visited Indonesia . According to the story of Maya Soetoro - Ng , her grandparents arrived in front of their house in Jakarta while his mother , Ann Dunham , who was pregnant with Maya is undergoing contraction . Then with them to the hospital where Maya was born . The day was August 14, 1970 .

~~~~~~~~
And that’s why we have an image of Madelyn with SAD and her newborn, with the asian woman reported to be Lolo’s mother, in Indonesia.
There's a scanned copy of the marriage doc amongst the FOI files, if you can read it, it seems to say March 15, 1965, although you might need to download it and lighten it.
There is more on the topic on
Is this leading to the suggestion that the boy’s real mother was from the leper colony?
Maybe she did an ‘unofficial’ one, and then later the ‘official one’?
because if she tried the ‘official’ one too soon, then they would have checked, and told her ‘no’?
But things weren’t as fast back then..... easier for bigamy to occur.....
From passport app. Notice first Andy as to location is scribbled out. May have been done by clerk to correct county or legal name of location
That looks like the certificate that is shown in the INS files. It's March, 1965. Why she shows March 15, 1964 on one of her passport renewal applications, I have no idea. I think she did that many years later. Wouldn't it be funny if there was another husband in between? And maybe HIS name was Soebarkah? One really can't take much notice of anything written down to do with this issue, the marriage certificate from March 1965 shows Molokai as the place of marrige, yet the one below states it was Maui - I wouldn't have a clue if they were both the same place or not, is Molokai Maui? I always thought it was another island:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molokai
Molokai is part of the state of Hawaii and located in Maui County, except for the Kalaupapa Peninsula, which is separately administered as Kalawao County.
Maui County encompasses Maui, Lanai, and Kahoolawe in addition to Molokai.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalawao_County,_Hawaii
Kalawao County is a county located in the U.S. state of Hawaii.[1] The county is on the Kalaupapa or Makanalua Peninsula, on the north coast of the island of Molokai. The small peninsula of Kalaupapa is isolated from the rest of Molokai by sea cliffs over a quarter-mile high—the only land access is a mule trail.
Kalawao County does not have the functions of other Hawaii counties. It is a judicial district of Maui County, which includes the rest of the island of Molokai. The county has no elected government. It is administered by the Hawaii Department of Health, and the only county statutes that apply to Kalawao County directly are on matters of health.
(snip)
Kalawao County lacks a local, county government. Instead, Kalawao County is administered by the Hawaii Department of Health. Under Hawaiian state law, the Director of the Hawaii Department of Health, who is appointed by the Governor, also serves as the Mayor of Kalawao County.[3][4][5][6] The Mayor holds executive powers within Kalawao County.[5] The Mayor of Kalawao County also appoints a county sheriff, who is selected from local residents.[7]
Maui county, Molokai (island) that’s what the marriage cert says.
So indeed there was a goof on the passport app, that got lined out.
I think back then people had to wait a year before divorce was final; then the march 16 1965 would fit the timeline.
