Is this leading to the suggestion that the boy’s real mother was from the leper colony?

Just pointing it out. Could be many possibilities, including a way to get someone into the country and even get the child a Hawaiian birth record or something written down in the archives, in 1961 or any time afterwards, including up to 2007. How would anyone know there was “something” written down in the archives unless they went looking for it at some point in time, either to find it or to create it to be used as “evidence” for creation of a late birth certificate? Fuddy would have known about this, given her background and her stepmother.
