The truth is, the Tea Party anger that boiled over in response to the President Obamas healthcare plan had been brewing for years due to conservative disappointment with George W. Bushs policies. Bush created record-breaking deficits, embraced Congressional earmarks, gained passage of an enormous expansion of Medicare entitlements without funding it, nominated Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, and backed McCain-Kennedy comprehensive immigration reform.
Principled conservatives like Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity spoke out against the direction of the party, to their credit.
Conservatives must be careful not to abandon their principles out of blind hated for President Obama. In their zeal to make Obama a one-term president, they may just elect someone who ends up implementing policies that are to the left of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Juan’s an idiot and he couldn’t tell the truth regarding Bambi if his life depended upon it. And I’ll take the chance with Romney since we know Bambi will continue the destruction of this country. I believe Romney at least loves his country, whereas Bambi loathes it.
kinda lost my temper there.
Surely you jest!
You’ve gone round the bend and off the rails....with Juan
Then you’re voting Obama.
If we get hard left policies from a liberal Republican President, its going to be almost impossible to reverse them.
I’m not saying conservatives can’t hold their noses and vote for Mittens. But we must remember he is not reliable and has shifted his positions out of political convenience.
I do like his plan to bolster our military and trim spending. That and the fact he has to seek re-election are the only things that commend him on Tuesday. I’m wary of the rest. Like Reagan said, “verify but trust.”
Its Romney’s job to earn conservative support and it shouldn’t be given out as a blank check. Let’s hope our misgivings turn out to be unfounded.
I assume you are sincere, and not a DU troll. So, given that, could you read this:
Six Enormous Stakes in Presidential Election
And tell me how Obama would be preferable to Romney?
As would any prudent person. This is a no brainer—the communist/Muslim must go.
We are in the rapids rapidly heading for the drop-off, the only option is to reach a rock in the middle and hopefully be rescued, Romney is that rock. Doesn’t mean we’re saved, but at least we have a fighting chance.
Pure nonsense. Total FAIL on so many levels if your opinion that I dont know where to begin.
Obama equals certain Disaster
Romney equals probable Disaster

Very easy choice, especially considering Romney has to face the voters in 4 years, OTHUG does not.
This is a luxury for me, because I happen to live in a red state. If I was in a battleground state, I'm sure I would vote "against Obama", but not necessarily for Romney.
Otherwise, I will be voting the most conservative ticket I can!
Well, Mitt criticized The One for bailing out the banks in the first debate. That’s good enough for me.
O’s only hope at this point is to find a way to suppress the Republican vote. So you’re going to see stuff like this floated about in the last days.
Romney won’t be the perfect conservative president any more than GW was, and we all have known that from the beginning. Hardly anyone here supported Romney in the primaries.
You will never have a perfect candidate or a perfect president. You will always have to push to support your ideals even against your own party, and even your friends will disappoint you from time to time. This is the nature of politics and the nature of human beings.
With all of GW’s shortcomings it is far better that he was in the White House on 911 than Al Gore. We were blessed with an imperfect but essentially decent man at the helm when war came.
That is our choice this time out. I think bad stuff is coming right around the bend whoever is president. We can choose an imperfect but essentially decent and competent man to lead, or a man with no conscience who will proudly oversee our destruction. With Romney we have our work cut out for us, trying to keep him from giving away the farm, because he isn’t a conservative, he’s a born manager and deal-maker but no conservative.
But between an pro-muslim marxist and a competent guy who loves America, I’ll choose the latter.
Dumbass thread of the week! Congrats

But he doesn’t hate America so much that he feels that it’s his messianic calling to “transform” the country into something more in line with his crypto-Muslim Marxist fantasies and preferences.
I’ll take that bargain.
Juan, you think conservatives will be happier under the boot heel of Valerie Jarrett? Go back to selling coffee. (Or was that a different Juan?)
And surrounds himself with like-minded fiends.

For anyone thinking there is some purity in voting “third party”, stop and THINK!! Those are also flawed human beings and have nothing to offer. They are also cowards. Stop and think of WHY they are doing what they are doing. These traitors do not care about their country—they only care about their egos.
I look at it this way. Romney is a .22 to the leg. Obama is a .45 to the chest.
I’m not thrilled with either option, but I have a choice between those two. I know which one I will pick.
