Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
Anyone who thinks so is a RINO! No one alive today is conservative enough for me, and thus I can comfortably sit in condescending judgment of all candidates!
Signed,
The Most Conservative Man in the World

Obama must be psying some of the fringers
So,you gonna sit out the vote?
“I was ready to stop posting against Romney on FR because I thought JR didnt approve.”
You’re not serious are you?
But that is all fine, your vote for Ryan is a de facto vote for Romney, that works for me. Any other vote you might cast is a vote for Øbama, even no vote... of course you are in Kalifornia, so your vote (while counting) makes no difference.
I have lost my enthusiasm for Sarah... but she does say repeatedly... "anybody but Obama" and in the state we are in that overwhelms all other considerations.
True.
There are those who are willing to live with 4 MORE years of Holder preening on TV, Valerie Jarrett deciding what direction we should all go in and the horror of Obama issuing executive orders right and left. Meanwhile all of us sink more in poverty while the lazy, gay, and feminists get more and more power over us.
All because of their hatred of Romney.
Amazing.
Thirty percent of the country all solid conservatives. Over half of the country are somewhat conservative. Yet we are led by someone who represents about 15 percent of the country, the leftwing lunatic fringe. How could that be? In part its because Conservatives have been incredibly stupid and naive when it comes to building a governing majority. Reagan understood, but we have no Reagan’s amongst us now.
Rather than crying in our beer about this sad state of affairs, we need to cling to whatever thread of political power that we can, fight a delaying action, regroup, and live to fight another day. If Obama wins, there will be no further fights, it will be over.
I was for Newt and absolutely still hate Romney. I vowed I would not vote for Romney, but Obama has forced my hand.
If we dont vote Romney, we will have 4 more years of Holders brand of justice and Obamas executive orders, both of which cannot be overcome by a Republican majority in both houses.
Vote for the good of America. Its like doing something outside your comfort zone to save a loved ones life.
you said you’re view but honestly what is witht he tagline, the name calling is more of a left wing trick.
Honestly it makes you look smaller and I’m sure you’re not.
by agreeing to be Romney’s VP, Ryan just showed his true RINO colors. No true conservative would have agreed to be Romney’s VP,
A wholly admirable stance; and one which places you in stark contrast to all the ruder Mittbots hereabouts; who knowingly shill and spew pro-Mittens talking points knowing full well, all the while, that their HOST doesn't like it.
You're not "That Guy." Be glad of that. ;)
It’s even more confusing when FReepers who were vehemently anti-Romney a few years ago are now ardent supporters of his.
Flip-floppers for a flip-flopper, I guess.
Except for one that puts the country above all else.
LOL, I said the same but you put it stronger, LOL.
Ah someone did not agree with Jim so they have to act out, reminds of the anal sex crowd.
Get all in a tantrum.
“The only other choice is taking our country down the path to Greece. If the Obama/Biden ticket wins I see $20 Trillion or more in the national debt. “
Yep, and the insiders The Hillary Gang feels the heat, that’s why they put forth HillaryRomney and want their own version of Extortion-Care, Massachusetts Style.
“When exactly was that?”
The most recent time I know of that Cheney was called a RINO was when he opined that Palin might not have been McLame’s best pick for a running mate - although I’m pretty sure he garnered the coveted title due to other indiscretions prior to that, too.
thought I was the only one thinking that after last night and this morning.
I’m sick of the GOP, all they care about is their money and power and to hell with us down in the south or the base.
I *love* your last paragraph. Thank you for being so bold in your support of truth.
