Apparently the Iraqi government is not able to function without American leadership.
Iraq has never had a real Government in the first place since Saddam left.
Iran will be running the show sooner than later
Obama has pulled the pin on Iraq. It is just a matter of time. Another classic Obama screw-up all for the sake of politics and another “accomplishment” he can brag about during the election.
POS.
Bush’s blunder. Cheney and Rumsfeld’s too. Big waste. Was always doomed to fail. And since the withdrawal is on Bush’s timetable, he owns it.
Maliki wanted the Americans out so he could go after the Sunni with retribution. Now I think the Sunni will be able to successfully defend Al-Anbar Province and the Kurds will just mind their own business in their area up north. This would cause the fall of Maliki, IMHO.
The withdrawal was according to Bush’s negotiated timetable.
Stupid question...preordained.....Obama.....
to a degree Bush owns it, BUT nothing has been done regarding Iraq by Obama for 3 years.....all he has done is set dates to get out.....Obama owns a huge chunk of it, too. the msm will ignore this, but it is true.

Yes - but would it have happened, given the present state of affairs there? I doubt it. Not yet anyway.
Saddam was probably the best leader Iraq had.
It is not saying much, but then again, it is the Middle East so don’t expect much.
As bad as all the fallen dictators are or were in the M.E. they at least kept the barbarians under control.
It will split back in to three parts, Kurdish north, Sunni middle and Shi’a south, if the army fractures. You might even see a union of part of Iraq with Iran.
All Obama was accountable for was getting us out of there, which he has done. He’ll campaign on it and a majority of Americans will reward him for it.
the previous administration worked with the gov of Iraq to set them on a path for success. obummer? nah, he doesn’t care OR he is too muslim to be the leader of the free world and actually lead. no, he just counted the days till he could get out.
Things to remember about iraq
Its arab, iran is indo european.
The other arab states are justifiably afraid of iran, and will work to mend the sunni shia divide.
Turkey, iran, iraq and a few ‘stans have Kurds whom have been promised they own country for a decades.
Malaki’s gov will fall if he doesn’t stop the attacks on the sunni, and the kurds don’t trust him so a new gov will not possible. Thus the only group getting oil $ will be the kurds. a sunni/kurd coalition fracturing iraq would wind up forcing turkey into giving its kurds the adjacent terrirory, something they’ve reneged on. That makes the syrian issue even more of an existential threat to iran since their kurds are adjacent as well.
Israel has threatened to support the kurds with $ and tech. A few armed uav’s would keep the shia at bay in iraq and turkey. Turkey will likey give up since their economy is imploding and they need money. Iran is about to see it economy destroyed if the us does ban the iranian central bank.
We live in interesting times.

Bush never agreed to 100% pullout and not leaving a base there.
We still have bases in Germany and Japan.
Don’t even try to blame this Fiasco on Bush
Obama has again placed himself in a win-win situation—with the uninformed anyway.
If you think it half through, you can say, Gee, it was Bush’s timetable, so the growing mess over there now isn’t Obama’s fault.
Or you can say, See? It was a mistake to begin with.
If you don’t think it through at all, which is what most of Obama’s blockhead supporters will do, you can say, Our hero brought the troops home and ended the war. Yay!
