Expert: Obama doc is 'proof' – of fraud

Typeface analysis shows images come from different machines

The online image of a Hawaiian "Certificate of Live Birth" was trumpeted by the White House when it was released on April 27 as "proof positive" that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.

Now an expert in typefaces and typography says it sure was "proof," but not of what the White House would have wanted.

Paul Irey, a retired professional typographer with 50 years experience in his business, has says an analysis of the typefaces used in the Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate that the White House released on April 27 reveals it absolutely to be a forgery.

"My analysis proves beyond a doubt that it would be impossible for the different letters that appear in the Obama birth certificate to have been typed by one typewriter," Irey told WND.

"Typewriters in 1961 could not change the size and shape of a letter on the fly like that," he said. "This document is definitely a forgery."

Irey acknowledges that an IBM Selectric typewriter could have produced different typefaces in a given document, but only if the Selectric ball was changed every time a different typeface letter was struck which would be unlikely to have been done to produce the word "Student," for example, that had two different styles of the lower case "t."

There will be no Buckhead moment.

Uhhhh! Remember, there was no Buckhead "moment". It was clear to all on FR the moment he posted his analysis, but it took over a month before anyone in the media actually admitted it was true.

FACT! This is another forgery.

Repairmen happen. These are typewriters, not word processors.

Ohhhhhh! So a typewriter repairman is responsible for the fact that the t's in the word 'student' are different type. When I figure out what that means, I'll get back with you. ;-|

(regarding government forms) I fixed all that. Did you imagine no one cared. I like to think my efforts ~ to leave enough room for CITY NAME for example ~ led the way into a bright new future where you could use felt tip pens to fill out a government form.

Even if I bought the argument that multiple typists typed on the forms with different typewriters, that still doesn't explain how you end up with different type within the same word.

Exactly. The only typewriter capable of switching typeface within the same word was an IBM selectric, the ones with the balls, if you'll pardon the phrase, ;) - All you had to do was switch out the ball. But imagine.....Type an s, switch to different ball, type w, switch ball, type i, switch ball, and so on.....tedious! Wasn't done, especially not on forms. You maybe had 2 or 3 balls, Times New Roman, a script font, then maybe a bold typeface font. You might switch out a ball on a letter or flyer to emphasize a paragraph or sentence going to the script or the bold....but no reason whatsoever to do this on a form! And certainly not within a single word! Its absurd. The older typewriters which as Muawiyah pointed out Hawaii probably had couldn't do this period. You would have to move to a completely different typewriter. Again absurd for Hawaii to even have had more than one or 2 typewriters tops. And office as small as the Hawaii records office in 1961 probably only employed a few clerks, again no reason for them to be jumping around typing half a word, pulling out the paper, running to another typewriter, putting the paper in a different typewriter, finish typing the word etc. etc. etc. Unless they were budding gymnasts or something.

And I haven't even STARTED on how pathetic the finished form would have looked like with all the different typefaces all jumbled together.....a faux pas in the typists community. My own personal Brun Hilda typing instructor would have had a cow over such behavior. We weren't taught that, period. Didn't happen, maybe in an extreme circumstance, such as a typewriter breaking so you had to finish on another one, but as a general rule, nope. And even in that extreme scenario it still wouldn't be as jumbled around as Obama's LFBC is!

Her garbled lame attempt to defend this obvious forgery has me rolling on the floor here - LOL! He/she obviously NEVER, EVER, worked in an office pre computers is all I can say!

fake or not the issue no longer has any political value.

But do we have the moral value to comply with the Constitution?

Law doesn’t go backwards, it goes forward.

Correct. And as the highest law in the land, explicit provisions are made for adapting the Constitution. To my point, the Constitution may only be altered by Amendment (or Constitutional Convention). There is no Constitutional Amendment made to alter the definition of natural born citizen. As such, the original stands until such Amendment is made.

Assuming you were a citizen before your children were born and that you wed prior to their birth, she would be considered "naturalized-by-marriage", quite common, and your children would be natural born citizens as the product of two citizen parents (one naturalized) in country. Any citizen can obtain a passport, natural born or not. The possession of a passport does not indicate any such status.

I was reminded that Bingham prior to 1866 is on the record in 1862 as having stated "There is not a textbook referred to in any court which does not recognise the principle that I assert.". This is absolutely what was law, and what was taught as law, throughout post-colonial America. There is no rational argument otherwise.

A fellow oldster here agreeing with everything you have stated on this thread 100% ‘gramma. Those here on FR wishing us to go gutless, quit, chicken out, (is that still used??!!), give it up, forget this battle ‘cause it is not going anywhere etc. etc. etc. (or whatever term or thought that might be used against those of us who desire to see the Constitution upheld)), have a REAL reason for why they wish to see us end this fight I believe ....and that REAL reason of theirs is not pleasant to think about.

>>Next you can try to claim that the Federalist Papers are

They tell us how we should conduct ourselves. There are many very useful guides the Framers and other brilliant patriots left is. The Wealth Of Nations has yet to be bested.

But they are meaningless for this particular discussion.

Your point is clear: only 2nd generation (from both sides) Americans born on US soil are eligible for the Presidency. If someone in that chain marries a foreign national, the progeny from such a union are not qualified to be POTUS, since the 2nd Generation clock has again started.

This flies in the face of 100+ years of jurisprudence and probably sounds more than a little nutso to most people, but if you back your claim up from broad generalities from writings when the 14th Amendment was written, I leave you to them.

When the Left point back to this thread, I will have acquitted myself with both facts and argumentation (and a bit of direct knowledge about typesetting).

I will NOT tell my children they cannot ever be POTUS — since that is factually incorrect.

In the meantime, you refuse to answer my very clear questions. I will paraphrase Mr. Spock: “you either can not or will not do so.”

And with that I bid you good morrow. Please do note I have not insulted anyone on this thread. The same for those who disagree with me cannot be said.

What does that say about us as Conservatives? And our theoretical “high road?”

50 years experience in this business ~ sure, I've got that. Have you? Plus I have overlaying that many years in the printing industry, albeit from the Postal Service viewpoint (which is one of demanding uniformity of product and please pay your postage correctly) but I did have to learn the printing business from beginning to end to do the job.

Let me start out with my 238 WPM typing speed ~ on a modified typewriter to be sure, because the normal cycle time isn't fast enough to support that speed.

Along the way I also managed to use virtually every model of typewriter found in business from 1950 to 2011 ~ as well as just about every other darned thing. I think I've still got a couple of old IBM dumb terminal keyboards out in the garage ~ that was before standardization on 5 volt systems eh!

Your boy with the analysis DEMONSTRATED what I claimed on the first thread we had after the new form came out ~ it was done on two different typewriters. Someone following me noted that one of them had been REPAIRED with an anomalous typeface or two for a couple of keys ~ maybe more ~ but we don't have that machine around to look at and the guys didn't type out an alphabet line for us to check.

So, let me say this about that, your boy AGREES WITH ME ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE TYPE ON THE FORM but he draws conclusions not supported by the evidence regarding the environments where the form was prepared.

He spent too much time fiddling with the machines and not enough fiddling with the paper pushing processes.

Great thread, supporters both sides on why or why not this should continue to be pursued...

To me, it boils down to this, SCOTUS would never roll this man’s election back and rule it illegal, simply they fear the back lash from the masses of entitlement minded obamanut’s, and the fact that many, such as those of us who frequent this forum (and millions more) already don’t believe the man holds the office legally and are just waiting for this to be in-validated in a ruling so the like’s of Obamacare would be rolled back.

It’s that or simply waiting if the half of the people in this country who do care march on Washington DC in protest.

Wrong.

The parents can be nationalized before the birth.

Natural born:
Born in the U.S.A. with two citizen parents.

I can only imagine what the threats to talk radio and other conservatives might consist of and its not pretty.

Oh just stop it. Your telling me that you actually believe that Levin, Hannity, etc, etc, etc, attack Hussein on issues across the spectrum but won't touch the birther stuff because they've been threatened? So the people supposedly issuing these threats don't give a fig that Mark Levin goes after Obama every night for hours on end and they ONLY care about the birth certificate. Basically your saying that ALL these radio hosts along with conservatives like Malkin and Coulter are threatened on ONLY the birth certificate issue, and NONE of them tell the world about these supposed threats which means they are all in effect in on the conspiracy? Please, that is one dumb theory you've got going.

The actual reason no serious conservatives will touch this birther stuff is because it's ridiculous. Your wasting your time on absolute nonsense. This stuff is no different than truther conspiracy blather - along with the endless stream of "experts" they continually put forward claiming stupid stuff like the steel in the towers couldn't have melted, a bomb must have blown up WT7 or that a missile hit the pentagon. The reason why responsible conservatives and elected Republicans don't want a thing to do with birther conspiracies is that these conspiracies are silly and getting more idiotic by the day (smiley faces, Donald Trump in on the conspiracy, etc).

I still have a working IBM selectric. It was a beauty in it’s time.

Yeah they were. I had an IBM selectric III auto-correct (with the white tape). Had 3 balls with it too: Times New Roman, Courier, and a script as I recall. Beautiful machine until the computers/word processors came along. Finally sold it in a garage sale since it was gathering dust.

You are making ridiculous assumptions, without any evidence to back it up. You admit you don't know the procedures used, but are still pushing your “dynamic” completion.

I suggest the form was completed at one time after all the information was available except for signatures, and dates filed by registrar, and certificate number. A maternity ward(unless completely screwed up worse than Hogan's goat)should have a work sheet to be filled out at time of admittance or as soon as possible thereafter in case of emergency. I can't imagine nurses running around with baby oil and powder chasing down patients.

Hospitals have medical records specialist whose job is to maintain records. Nurses would fill out info on a chart, but it would be a huge waste of resources to have RN’s fill out BC’s. If you have proof otherwise, show it. Tell me which lines are dynamic and why. How are death certificates processed?

No.

If you marry a foreign national and that foreign national
becomes a citizen before the child is born then the child is a Natural Born citizen.

You still believe the form was completed all at one time in one place by one typist.

How bizarre. The BOH, according to one of our posters who contacted them, says they prepared the forms first ~ showing the addresses, etc. along with the FORM NUMBER (which is rubber stamped) and then sent them out to the hospitals and other birthing centers.

There's a sidebar issue of what they did when a baby was born at home and that is brought into the Obama question to explain a couple of other obscure anomalies.

Then, when the baby was born and one of the prepared forms selected, the rest of the information was typed in ~ e.g. BABY NAME.

No typist at the BOH doing preparation of the forms would know that!

The process in place then required that typing take place in at least 2 locations. Unless you envision someone toting a typewriter around to the hospitals there's no reason to believe one typewriter was used to prepare the forms.

That means that the discovery that there are DIFFERENCES in font means 2 typewriters in 2 locations (at a minimum).

Other Freepers, in an effort to demonstrate that the form was a forgery showed that the letters have vertical alignment. That's what you get when you use the same tab settings on 2 or more typewriters ~ you get vertical alignment.

Yet other Freepers pointed to OTHER birth certificates where this doesn't happen.

We determined we had no way of knowing if there was an iron clad way for completing these forms.

More interesting was the LEE question ~ my take is this was a person whose name may have been, in Chinese, Hawaii Lee.

That is as yet unresolved.

Actually I think you were deliberately trying to confuse things by saying “2nd generation.” 1st generation Americans would be eligible to be President too as would any generation after that. A 1st generation American would be someone who was the child of an American citizen. That satisfies the jus sanguinus requirement.
