Sarah Palin attached herself to Donald Trump’s Birther conspiracy this weekend, throwing more fuel on a fire that won’t quit. The question no one appears to be asking, though, is “Would it be such a big deal if Barack Obama were born elsewhere?”
“I appreciate that the Donald wants to spend his resources in getting to the bottom of something that so interests him and many Americans,” said Palin, whose popularity has been steadily slipping, of Trump’s Birther crusade.
“He’s not just throwing stones from the sidelines, he’s digging in, he’s paying for researchers to find out why President Obama would have spent $2 million to not show his birth certificate, so more power to him.”
While surely Palin simply wants to make herself relevant in someway, her remarks—and the entire racist Birther debate—made me wonder whether it would matter if Obama were born outside of the States.
Yes, our constitution says that president must be American made, but it also says that being born in the States gives you citizenship, an amendment the GOP, targeting “anchor babies,” is more than willing to kibosh, so why not remove the presidential restriction altogether?
We live in a post-globalization world. The strict geographical and political boundaries our Founding Fathers knew are long gone. No longer are Brits our enemies, and no longer do our political offices need protection from interlopers. Human travel has become more fluid, and allegiance to America is shared by people from all walks, and continents, of life.
A person does not run for president to take over, corrupt or destroy a nation. There is no Manchurian Candidate. A man or woman runs for the White House because they have the nation’s best interest in mind, even if they weren’t born here. It’s not as if the presidency is a career chosen willy-nilly, or for nefarious purposes. It takes over your entire life.
If you need some proof, check out what Obama says he misses most about his pre-White House life: “I just miss – I miss being anonymous. I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can’t take a walk.”
Obama’s life—and that of his family—has forever been changed. Not because he wants to erode our nation or is some alien invader, but because he cares about this country and wants to do what’s best for it, just like any other person who runs for president. Even George W. Bush loved this nation and, despite his many, many mistakes, did what he thought was best.
It seems to me that today, the 21st Century, our highest office should be open to anyone who holds citizenship—whether by birthright or adoption—and who can win the voters’ hearts and minds. The rule stating presidents be born here is not only close-minded, it’s unnecessary, paranoid and archaic.

Birthers (or some of them) don’t propose to “kibosh” the 14th amendment. That may be the result, as their interpretation is wrong. It’s not the intent, as they (or some of them) are under the impression that the 14th amendment does not, in fact, establish citizenship purely based on place of birth. Which you would know if you stopped to research their arguments at all.
I, for one, don’t believe in what I shall term the strong “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” interpretation, but this is just plain bad writing.

I am serious, yes it would be filmed of all the places where he grew up at but also with any witnesses or “lack” of witnesses. Donald Trump has the money, he can at this stage start displaying the unanswered questions about Obama.
Let America see the images of the hospital in Mombasa where a plaque declares Obama was born there for instance.

He is right. A person does not RUN for office “to take over, corrupt or destroy a nation.”
His handlers do though. Obama isn’t a person. He is a puppet, who was selected at an early age to be a front for the One World Government.
The Presidency was bought and paid for by George Soros. He said back in 2004 that he bought the Democrat party. Well, he bought the Presidency.
Evidence? Oil Well in Gulf goes up in flames. Oil production in Gulf shut down. Resources go to Brazil. Soros has huge investment in Brazil. Obama goes to Brazil. Gives big loan to Brazil. Says in speech US will buy Brazilian oil and be its biggest customer.
And the media is silent.

I sometimes wonder if part ot the reason Obama was marketed for president was the fact he doesn’t qualify. In their endgame to make the constitution out dated with no power. Proof is no one enforced it. A Soros move toward UN global government.

If it turns out he is foreign then he would not fill the requirements to run for president and thus not qualify for re-election. Yes this is an impotant issue
Get used to this...I think this is going to be the lefty meme on the issue going forward. Which tells us all we need to know about obama's eligibility.
What if Obama were foreign?
It would cause a Constitutional crisis of epic proportion. But, one that would need to be confronted.

If he is a foreigner it means he’s a lying fraud who deceived the American people. It means he belongs in prison along with all the traitors who helped him with his crime.

Sir, I hope with all my heart that these are not your own words. The reason that we have a restriction on who can run for president of these united states is because, only a natural born citizen has any business speaking on the best interests of this country. Someone born in another country that has immigrated to this country will still, most likely, have some deep seeded affection for his home land, and might treat said country with preferential treatment regarding funds appropriations, trade agreements and the like.
And if you honestly think that Obama has no nefarious purpose for being president. Think again. That man has no more respect for the constitution of the United States of America than a man in the moon. He has, since taking office, done everything that he can do to undermine the principals that this country was founded on and to erode the bedrock of our society. Believe you me; this man does not have this nations interest at heart. Rather, he has his own socialist, Marxist agenda to attend to.
How about proving that Obama is foreign first? Do that and then I’m prepared to let the chips fall where they may.
