The results of this week’s US mid-term elections do not bode well for either US domestic or international politics.
The good news is that the Tea Party movement did not do quite as well as anticipated, with fewer than 40 of its 140 or so endorsed candidates winning their way to Washington. The bad news is that, judged on their record so far, 40-odd Tea Party candidates can cause plenty of damage to the fabric of the US’ democracy, especially now the Republican Party has wrested back the majority in the lower house.
This is a movement that claims to champion liberty and small government; “The Tea Party movement is about standing up for individual freedom for everyone”, argues Big Sky Tea Party chairman, Jim Walker. But there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that, in the eyes of Tea Party members, some Americans are more entitled to liberty than others.
Consider, for example, South Carolina senator Jim DeMint, who argues that someone who is openly homosexual or who is unmarried and sexually active should not be allowed to teach children. Consider, too, this contribution to a Tea Party Patriots blog: “Homosexual couples have no legitimate place in a successful society … Laws denying homosexuals the alleged ‘right’ to counterfeit marriage, do not violate the equal protection clause in the Constitution, and are likewise appropriately based on the religious view that the homosexual lifestyle is wrong, immoral, and a sin, and damages the foundations of society.”
And since even non-Tea Party-aligned Republican senators – who are appearing increasingly “moderate” by comparison – are fighting against gays serving openly in the military, it’s safe to say endorsed candidates are in no rush to extend any liberties there either. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell? More like Don’t Serve, Get Lost.
The Tea Party movement is a triumph of modern political marketing – couching an extremist anti-queer, anti-civil rights agenda behind a crowd-pleasing message of constitutional freedoms and reduced taxation. And partnered with the might of Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News, it seems an unstoppable juggernaut for the 2012 elections. President Sarah Palin is now a disturbingly feasible outcome.
The Democrats can only blame Fox News’ warped and biased misrepresentation for so much. Ultimately, they – and Barack Obama in particular – will need to look to home as to why they’ve failed to sell themselves and their message to enough voters, and why a bunch of extreme fundamentalists have been allowed to claim credibility.
Until then, liberty for millions of Americans is under threat.
The gays are free to be gay. I honestly do not care what they do in the privacy of their own homes, just like I do not think it’s anyone’s business what my neighbor does in the privacy of his home.
However, gays are not free to press their deviant lifestyle upon the rest of us. They are not free to expect that the rest of us pay them special consideration in every little thing we do. They are not free to dictate to the rest of us how to live and what to think.

Let’s see here some simple math based on the claim of 40 of 140 tea party candidates won is about 29%.
The percent of house representatives that were voted out was some 15%.
Will take those numbers until there are no more cows to come home.
Just the ads there are **this close** to pornography. Why is it that ethnic groups are always about being that, homosexuals are always about being that and feminazis are always about their gender?
I was a participant in several Tea Parties. I do not recall the gay issue ever protested.

No, what it really comes down to is this: some Americans think they're more entitled to stifle liberties. The Gay agenda is to stifle each of our rights, via peaceful choices in life and business, to reject open homosexuality in our social, civic, and professional spheres. The Gay agenda is to celebrate homosexuality and to use the law to demonize anyone who refuses its legitimacy.
The Gay Agenda says homosexuals are more entitled to stifle liberty.
The agenda of liberty says people who are discreet can live quite freely. When they become indiscreet, by their own choice they put themselves in a place inviting justified rejection. Some homosexuals cry that they've got a corner on the heaviest price. They've got it wrong. Society pays the heaviest price when it's debased with such a vain focus on sexuality. If you feel compelled to be gay, it's in your best interest to keep it to yourself.
I hate to break the news to you Nancy... er Pat.... Neil..Bob Sam, the Tea Party's agenda has nothing at all to do with you. They aren't "anti-queer", you aren't even on the play list. I went to the web site and finished reading the artice from there. I found it difficult to read because of all the flashing ads with shirtless men all over the place.
Most Americans ARE NOT anti-gay, many of us have gay friends. What we ARE is anti-gay AGENDA. Your web page doesn't say take us seriously, it screams "LOOK HOW FREAKING GAY WE ARE!!!". If web sites run by heterosexuals used the same tact of "LOOK HOW FREAKING STRAIGHT WE ARE!!!" you'd complain. You demand the rest of society to give you preferential treatment based solely upon where you like to stick your schmeckle. If you didn't place your identity as a human in your bedroom by saying "look what I like to do" you wouldn't feel slighted by the world when the rest of us say we don't care. Walk up and introduce ourself by saying "hi, I'm Sam" instead of "HI I"M GAY, want to make something out of it?"

Neither do I, but I think the rising unemployment and the prospect of people having trouble providing for the future are a higher priority than homosexuality or sexuality at all right now. Whomever thinks someone concerned about the economic downturn as a top concern rather than gay rights as a top priority does not have their head right.
The American people simply don't want gay people involved with the Republican party.
This is a problem the gay guys will have to take up with the voters, not us. In the meantime, looking back at the 2006 election, we've learned our lesson ~ no gays ~ no way!

The "social justice" cause and fight for "freedom" entailed under the premise of orifice diversity has been kicked to the curb repeatedly -one would think these champions of disorder would eventually get a clue?
