Jefferson vs Lincoln: America Must Choose

Over the course of American history, there has been no greater conflict of visions than that between Thomas Jefferson’s voluntary republic, founded on the natural right of peaceful secession, and Abraham Lincoln’s permanent empire, founded on the violent denial of that same right.

That these two men somehow shared a common commitment to liberty is a lie so monstrous and so absurd that its pervasiveness in popular culture utterly defies logic.

After all, Jefferson stated unequivocally in the Declaration of Independence that, at any point, it may become necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them…

And, having done so, he said, it is the people’s right to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Contrast that clear articulation of natural law with Abraham Lincoln’s first inaugural address, where he flatly rejected the notion that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Instead, Lincoln claimed that, despite the clear wording of the Tenth Amendment, no State upon its own mere motion can lawfully get out of the Union; [and] resolves and ordinances [such as the Declaration of Independence] to that effect are legally void…

I respect the Constitutional Dictatorship; the USA. I pay tribute to it every year, thousands, all for the privilege of being discriminated against(affirmative action, Unconstitional) and open borders(Unconstitutionally ignoring the law). As a subject, my rulers give me so little to love.

In a sentimental way I love what the USA was, I weep for it. I deserve better.

Innes Randolph didn't feel the need to qualify his hatred. On the contrary, he was upfront about it - he hated anything and everything to do with this country. I find it amusing that you hold him up as an honorable man yet feel the need to qualify your hatred and tap-dance around it.

I'm not operating under any illusions so far as this administration is concerned. Or the damage that has been done to this country in the last 20 years. But this nation has survived that kind and it's survived your kind and it's still around and kicking. And while it is, there is hope that people can still bring it back to the course that it should be headed on. I leave it to you to dream your dreams of what your beloved confederacy would have become. The nice thing about imaginary worlds is you can make them however you want. You don't need facts and you can ignore inconvenient bits of history.

The Revolutionary War took 7 years, give or take. Vietnam went on for what, 13 or 14 years? We've been in Iraq and Afghanistan for going on 8 years. What you meant is that the rebellion only took 4 years. And had Grant and Sherman been in charge from the beginning it would have taken less than that.

Bottom line with NS and the rest of the yankee coven is that they only love power and control and they'll use, distort, butcher, lie and misrepresent a beautiful set of documents in order to keep power and control. Lincoln did it and the Major's hatred stemmed from their abuse of those documents. They invaded a sovereign nation waving the Declaration, the Constitution and the Stars-n-Strips, butchered hundreds of thousands of people, terrorized hundreds of thousands more and then continued the terrorizing into an unlawful occupation dubiously coined 'Reconstruction'. It's like somebody taking up a beautiful work of art and using it to kill your mother. After that, it ain't so beautiful no more.

And, as we've seen in the last few days, the yankees haven't changed one bit. They waved the Flag, the Declaration and the Constitution while stomping all over it and are using it to destroy liberty.

The yankees continue to sink their own ship and have tied us to the bulkheads to make sure that we go down with them.

Yeah, it's a policy of "no on gets out alive". They hate the though of a state(s) making a break for it and freedom. A mafia cartoon republic is a good description.

It is a complete, utter and total waste of time to debate with ns or his ilk since we engage in honest and open debate and he and the rest of the damnyankee coven live by the lie.

In the case of ns, it takes some people a while to wade through his immense supply of bullshit but when they finally do, as most here have, they realize what a lying sack of pig guts that he is and how much vile hatred he has for the South and Southerners.

IMHO, our time is better spent enforcing our right to oppose yankee tyranny in whatever form that may take.
