What kind of fool would fight all these court cases on grounds of standing if just showing the darn birth certificate could finish the issue?
The same person who would retract military orders rather than just show the birth certificate and finish the issue.
This guy is willing to throw money, credibility, and military effectiveness overboard in order to prolong this thing. Why?
Some say because it makes his enemies look stupid. If that’s the reason then it is backfiring big-time. When fellow democrats say, “Obama is beginning to seem to not be credible to me” you know you’ve got a credibility problem - which is what BP2 keeps coming back to.
Now Obama may think it’s funny to poke fun at people who don’t appreciate liars playing games with the integrity of our whole legal system. He may think playing “chicken” with the Constitution is child’s play. Just like he thinks it’s fun to flip the bird at Palin and Hillary, and gets his thrills out of making fun of the Special Olympics. Big man, he is.
But his little pissy political games (and that’s the BEST construction that could be put on his refusal to show his documentation) are wearing VERY THIN on the public.
Either he’s a crook or a jerk, or - most probably - both. The American public sees. They are not amused.
Credibility? BP2? My point to him:
“Or, are YOU really so clueless that you think if the Birther issue ever makes it to court, that having a mob of people shouting “Obama’s A Liar” is going to pass for a legal argument.”
That’s the point. Credibility is nice, and I like it. It’s really cool if your opponent in court doesn’t have any. BUT IT IS NOT POSITIVE EVIDENCE. Do you think anyone can go to court, wave around the COLB,and say “Obama’s a liar!”, and the judge is going to slam his gavel down and say “You win! And I’m going to nominate you for Lawyer of the Year!”
This is childish. It is childish thinking. It is a childish view of the law.
What you, bp2, and the rest of the birthers need to realize—is that regardless of Obama’s credibility, YOU BIRTHERS HAVE ZERO CREDIBILITY.
It is why you get bounced from court. It is why people like Ann Coulter and Glen Beck, neither of whom are exactly masters of impulse control, think Birthers are quacks, and cranks, and the “fringe”. It is why so many other freepers give you hell.
I do not say that to hurt your feelings. I’ve given you suggestions how you might go about trying to develop credibility—by developing a credible case with logical presentation of any evidence you think you have.
Frankly, I haven’t seen any remotely credible evidence of anything, but that’s why I ain’t a birther. I think if you start to lay your “evidence” out, you, or some of you, will realize that you ain’t got a case and will then go on to become productive freepers again.
