He betrayed his chosen leader for personal greed. He didn't do what I demanded, therefore I will work against him. He had no trouble with children and adults being murdered so long as it wasn't the woman he had taken a fancy to and been rebuffed by.

That's my nephew's take on Snapes.

I think I was pulling for Snapes mostly because the actor's portrayal in the movies is such genius.

Oh yeah, Alan Rickman is major eye and ear candy for me. Just LOVE that guy and his velvet voice!

I once tried to read "Return of the Native" and almost fell asleep, it was so deadly dull. We were planning our annual drive South one year, so I went to the library to get some books on tape, and saw "Native", but read by Alan Rickman. It was great company because we drive straight through, and I do the overnight leg. I enjoyed that book immensely! ;o)
